The number of lifts seems low considering the number of hotel rooms, but we didn't have what I'd call an excessive wait for a lift. We arrived after check-in time and the rooms were not ready. One more chair in our room would have allowed both guests staying in a King room to sit at the desk and eat.

The hotel is located conveniently near a subway stop. There are many eating options nearby and multiple shopping options north and south of the hotel. The room sizes are great considering you are in New York City.

Room 206 The adjustment for the temperature of the sink's faucet is inadequate. The water is either too cold or too hot, but not warm. The soundproofing of the windows needs to be improved, we heard the outside noise of the heating system.

    The staff was very helpful.

    1) breakfast and restaurant facilities had been affected by an issue that required the hotel to wait for an inspection to re-open. So no restaurant and the breakfast, which we’d paid extra for a breakfast package, was cold only. Though this was out of the hotel’s control, breakfast was quite limited as a result and it was difficult to get a filling breakfast to start our day. If I’d have known prior to booking, I wouldn’t have booked the breakfast package and would have eaten out instead. The breakfast staff were lovely, though, and tried hard to make us welcome. 2) The lifts were a bit of a nightmare, especially at busy times, like in the morning when everyone wanted to leave their rooms for breakfast/checking out. Only 2 lifts for the 24 floors, and lots of times only one was operational. The fact that the cleaning staff used the lifts to move equipment confounded the problem. The worst morning we waited over 20 minutes for a lift from the 23rd floor, which was really frustrating. We shared a lift with one woman who had been trying to check out and subsequently missed her train that day because the lift wasn’t working. Make sure you give plenty of time to get downstairs - no rushing to last orders (cold) breakfast at 9.50am in this hotel!

Central location near to quite a few subway stations so it was really easy to get about the city. Also in walking distance of lots of tourist spots - Empire State Building, Times Square, High Line all within 15 mins walk. The staff at the hotel were really friendly and helpful and were a real highlight of this stay.

    • Double Room with Two Double Beds - Non-Smoking

The first thing we noticed was that there wasn't enough towels for 3 people and not enough coffee cups or pods for 3 people. The beds and pillows were just ok-very mushy and we've had better beds in other Hiltons. The other thing was the toilet ran every time someone flushed it which made it difficult to sleep in an already noisy city. The staff was very friendly which was probably the best part of the hotel, but they weren't able to fix the the toilet. Also-there was no hot breakfast as they were waiting for an inspection... and my teenage son was very disappointed. So breakfast was just OK...the bare minimum.

The location was decent and near the Empire State Building. We we very close to the train station which was super convenient since we arrived by train. Easy to find.

No fault of the Hilton, but I did not like the fact there was not a full functional restaurant with hot meals and none nearby. Cold continental breakfast only.

Rooms were extremely clean with all necessary amenities (TV, A/C, refrigerator and microwave). Although I was very comfortable, the area not so great but still extremely satisfying and safe. The rooms and facility a bit outdated due to age but extremely clean and well cared for. The Hilton associates are extremely welcoming, caring, and go beyond to ensure your stay is excellent. Because of this, I will definitely return. A BIG SHOUT OUT to Associates Kim, John Marie, and Makahal. Thank you for making me feel so welcomed...you made my stay worth every penny and time.
