Queuing at conceirge desk with no acknowledgment from staff, great you’re dealing respectfully with other guests but please acknowledge others waiting and don’t then deal with queue jumpers first, if you offer water maybe just have it available to uplift as I spent hours trying to pick a time when you weren’t busy.

Breakfast offering poor - generic over priced Starbucks coffee which you had to serve yourself in paper cups.

The location is great, overlooking the harbour and the lagoon. Room very clean, staff friendly & helpful. Lovely pool area, no problem getting a sun lounger. Nice clean beach towels for guests.

Rooms felt outdated with worn furniture, not enough drawers and sinks splashed water everywhere. Room was near very loud elevators. Lobby and main pool floors had a mildewy smell at times. Water machines not working or had expired filters.

Good location centrally located near the beach, restaurants, shopping mall and parks. Room was spacious and light filled. Staff were kind and helpful. Happy hour was good. Pool was nice and not too crowded. Can see the Hilton fireworks from the pool.

The last orders at the pool bar was 9.30 but there were plenty of bars and restaurants around the area which catered for orders after this time.

The pool is very accessible and overall the staff at the pool very helpful. The concierge staff were outstanding and the hotel was in a great location with lots of restaurants and easy walk to the beach and very clean and comfortable.

Good shuttle bus service between hotel and airport (between certain times). Room very comfortable and clean and check in/out staff efficient and friendly. Continental breakfast selection good and they also had tea which was a bonus.

Unfortunately, the room had a weird wood sliding panel that took up about 50% of what was an amazing view. Also, there was some sort of labor dispute. One afternoon we had megaphones in our ears and had to leave the pool. A few days later we were woken up at 7am with screaming and chanting from a megaphone and protests from former workers. The hotel staff had no explanation.

We went to the Modern as part of a timeshare promo. The room was adequate and it was a good location for the price. The pool was small and chill, which we liked.

The hotel is an older one. There are no dressers for your clothing and very minimal closet space. There is a small shelving unit in the closet for some clothing but not enough toom for 2 people’s. Our Keurig did not work, and had to request a new one which didn’t work right. There is not a snack store in the hotel either nor coffee in the lobby.

The location of this hotel is fabulous, the pool areas and outdoor lounging areas are superb.

In a suite with a microwave, I would have expected plates, glassware and cutlery. The pool bar and wait staff weren't very attentive or friendly. A bar in the adults-only space would have been convenient especially since the infrastructure is already there.

The size of the suite and two balconies were perfect for us. Proximity to the beach and shopping centre. The view over the marina. The Hilton Hawaiian Friday fireworks display was superb from our balcony.

great location - central to everything without being right in the heart of waikiki, nice walks up to main beach and so close to ala moana free activities everyday - super fun way to get into hawaiian culture clean and comfortable rooms - good beds and clean bathrooms provided free water bottles and cold water refill stations

We were across the hall from the elevators and about three rooms down the hall but the elevator noise could be heard and was very annoying.

Would recommend furniture on the deck to be a little more comfortable. I know not everyone spends much time in the room but we did enjoy our morning coffee and an evening cocktail on our deck

The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. Having an adult only pool area was fabulous. We appreciate the kiddies but sometimes it’s nice to relax with a little quiet. The proximity to shopping and restaurants was enjoyable and gave us many options. Being able to walk down to the beach in a few minutes was handy for those evening sunsets. We would stay again in a heartbeat

My only issue was the pool beds, very uncomfortable and not like the lovely cushioned ones that was there 12 years ago. Also there were far too many noisy children in the pool throwing balls, a shame for a boutique hotel.

I stayed here 12 years ago, and was just as fab. The location is a little more chilled than the other end of Waikīkī. Within walking distance of Alo Moana shopping centre and a number of restaurants and a supermarket. There are two bus stops right outside, perfect to get to either the airport or the other end of Waikiki. Also within walking distance of the beach.

The water was expired but they still have a water filling station with fresh water in the lobby

The room is very big with nice decor. Employees were nice. The parking was very convenient and you can go in and out anytime with your card. Location was good: restaurants and abc store nearby. The pool was a great place to spend some time with good music. It’s near the airport. The beach is at a walking distance and looks wonderful. Worth pay a bit more for partial ocean view, amazing view really.
