Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaAt initial check-in, we we told of adjacent construction, and we were offered an upgrade to a better location (for additional cost). Considering the high cost of the initial room, I was surprised that I had to pay extra to avoid unpleasant construction noise, which we endured for the first 2 days until the upgrade was available. The beds were not very comfortable. The car parking cost seemed excessive, for an open uncovered self-park lot; $48 per day. The cost of paradise? The facilities include extensive pools and a protected lagoon with its own beach. However, there is no direct ocean sand beach to use at the facility. The facility is huge, with considerable distances between attractions and venues; free transportation is provided to assist with movement.
Great ocean view room with balcony, at the Makai location, which we upgraded to. Lovely grounds and facilities.

United States of AmericaElevators were at the furthest end of the property for our building. My husband had a recent knee injury and unless we waited for 15 min for a tram to come, we’d have to walk it and our room was toward the inner side of the building so then we’d have to walk half way back as well. It wasn’t thought out.
Landscaping was nice and property was kept clean.

AustraliaWe stayed in the palace tower & the closest laundry facility was in another building 10 minute walk away through a swimming pool. Expensive dining options only & what’s reasonably priced closes too early.
Perfect location with beautiful scenery. Great pool for kids & adults, kids loved the slide. Good amount of Watersport options in the lagoon including snorkelling & paddle boarding

United States of AmericaNo sand beach, hidden charges - no free shuttle to nearby shops (the hotel charged $5 per person each way to ride less than a mile to nearby shopping district), which was insulting given how much everything else on the resort cost ($23 drinks and $6 for a glass of club soda from the hose behind the bar)
Very. clean and lots of areas to relax, decent restaurants

United States of Americathe key system is weird. my key never worked. even i kept it separate from my phones. towel stations also had a problems. but main problem is restaurants. its only 3 of them on such a large property. food could be better . and we were very surprised to learn that even if you have booked large room and paid 2,500$ you still need to pay for parking 45$ . this is first time I saw that as hotel guests you need also pay for parking
unique hotel with large infrastructure inside. you can find there all attractions. amazing large pool, private lagoon, and there’s a beach access 20 minutes of walking or 5 min driving.

United States of AmericaDepending on which tower you are staying in, your walk from the car to your room can be quite a distance. My wife and I didn't mind because we got our steps in, the kids were less enthusiastic (teenagers), but it was good for them too. There is a tram though for those that want to walk. I wish there were more restaurants, but Nui was wonderful everytime we ate there.
Large property with nice pools and overall very good for families. Nui is a good all around restaurant for families. My wife has celiac (Gluten allergy) and they have the best gluten free crust I think I've ever tasted. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable.

New ZealandIs not cheap but there are options with the nearby shops and floor microwaves for those watching the budget. My wife was not impressed when she was asked to move from one of the outside pool tables when she said she had ordered takeaways which were coming. I would understand if it was full but it was not so there was no need for that when she had actually ordered food. It’s isolated so you do need a vehicle but worth is due to the beautiful setting
the property is stunning with great swimming pools and the lagoon which had wonderful marine life including numerous turtles and there is a nearby beach in front of the Marriott which welcomed us and we could use the deck chairs all day. Loved the fact the pools were all open until 10pm. There are nearby shops which are great for those little things you need and i was able to rent a car from an app that was left for us at the nearby kings shops. The pacific art throughout the property is also stunning. Loved our room in the palace that looked out to the mountains it was breathtaking how it changed throughout the day and evening
