We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesOur room didn’t have a darkening shade, only a blind that let a lot of light in. When we asked the front desk, they said “it’s how it is” but you can obviously see from the outside that all the other rooms have a shade. Also it’s a little loud due to the freeway noise.
Most of the front desk staff was nice, beds were comfy, breakfast was a standard hotel breakfast but tasted good.

United StatesThe hotel was okay. I’ve stayed at many Holiday Inns before and always had a good experience. The rooms are always clean, staff was nice, and the hotel breakfast was really good (especially at this location). There were a couple of small issues, the main one being the WiFi. The hotel didn’t offer instructions on how to connect. My partner was able to figure it out, but the signal was really weak and many websites weren’t working. My partner and I were in Houston for a music festival, so we didn’t spend much time in the room. But if you’re booking this hotel for business and need internet in your room, I wouldn’t recommend this one. The shower curtain was also really small and water pooled on the floor after our showers. I had to mop up the floor with a towel, otherwise the room would have been a slipping hazard. If I come to Houston again, not sure if I would book this hotel or maybe I’ll stay at another Holiday Inn location.

United StatesWhile the room was billed as mobility accessible and the shower did have plenty of grab bars, it was not a walk-in shower and the shower floor was not textured to prevent slipping. The hotel needs to learn more about what the requirements are for a bathroom to meet ADA requirements when advertising a room as being accessible for disabled guests, A couple of guests had an extended, expletive-laden argument in the hall in the middle of the night and apparently no one alerted the manager.

United StatesBeds were too "soft" for my liking. There was a barking dog in the room across the hall. The shower needed some maintenance, the nozzle was hard to adjust. The TV was difficult to "navigate" and had few free channels.

United StatesMy key did not work on the side entrance. Waited a while for someone to show up to the front desk at check-in. Room smelled of bleach when we got in it. But pillows were very comfortable, not the usual flat-smashed pillows you find at hotels and bed was very comfortable. Could not get the TV remote to work properly. Homeless person sleeping in their car right by mine as we were packing up to go.
Breakfast was delicious and done well here. Better than others I have been to.
