Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed, which is the main reason we stayed there.

To note though, there is a step up into the room, making it a bit of an obstacle for anyone with physical issues and an overall tripping hazard.

This hotel was located perfectly for our evening at Longwood Gardens. The room was very clean as well as the property. The breakfast service was top notch! There were two weddings there during our stay and there were zero issues.

The shower needed to be fixed as the only position the hand held shower head could be without being held was against the wall not on ones head. No place to hang small towels after use. Also when we arrived it was noted that a ceiling light was flickering . Front desk was called and someone came within ten minutes to change the bulb. Staff were all friendly and accomodating. Room was clean. Ok place to stay for the night.

We used the parking lot for walking but the hot weather contributed to areate smell - also power was out for most of the day - no lights in bathrooms which prevented us to take a badly needed shower

Restaurant experience was 5 out of 10 for a variety of resons. More overhead cover from the rain at reception and between the hotel and the restaurant would be helpful.

Comfortably-sized room with four framed abstract artworks on the walls. Tiled bath floor and tub enclosure. Carpeted brown and gray floor. Muted gray linen look walls with brown threads. Large breakfast rooms. Quiet location. Lots of outlets.

Convenient hotel, friendly staff. Good coffee machine near the reception available 24/7, even possible to brew a short strong coffee to get started to work early. Good breakfast.

We come to this hotel every time we travel to Philadelphia and it is just never disappoints us. It has the convenience of a well established hotel chain with the flair of an inn. Personnel is extremely kind and forthcoming in trying to accommodate every customer’s request, which does not happen everywhere nowadays. People that stay here are usually attending weddings, so no people in underwear running through corridors. It was also recently renovated , though I personally think it lost a little bit of its majestic appeal by getting rid of the lobby on the 2nd floor. What makes this hotel a great place to stay is the size of the room and bathroom, and its location just a stone’s throw away from all the surroundings attractions: Longwood gardens, Dunlop mansions, etc .

Check-in staff could be more friendly, welcoming. We stayed in 102,3 &4. The step as you come out of the door is uncomfortable, especially because my husband has health and mobility challenges.

Location to Longwood Gardens Facilities were very nice.

The front desk staff was unfriendly & unwelcoming.

Breakfast was terrible! The eggs were not real- no one could eat more than one bite. The bacon was so very thin that it disintegrated as soon as it touched the tongue. These are the basics of a good breakfast! The only thing that was decent was the cut melon.

The check in was ridiculous. We arrived 45 min early. (3:45) and had to pay an extra $10 fee for “ early check in “. After traveling 3 hours and 30 minutes, that was pretty close to 4 pm check in time.

The location was excellent for what we needed. The property was well maintained and pleasing. The rooms were clean although very tight.

I didn't like that our rooms opened into the parking lot rather than in a corridor. Most of the rooms are corridor access. It doesn't feel as secure.

More hooks in the bathroom for wet towels, clothes, or hair dryers, etc. and more hangers in the closets. Other than that I have no complaints at all! Tina and the staff all went above and beyond to make our stay warm and welcoming and just wonderful!

The Inn at Mendenhall was absolutely lovely. The staff was friendly and service was fantastic! Centrally located to get to both Longwood Gardens and Winterthur. And the added bonus is the restaurant - Mendenhall Inn - that is right across the parking lot. The food was divine and the service was wonderful. It was a fantastic weekend all around and we couldn't be happier with how it all worked out! Thank you!!
