To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaThey always upgrade me to with the option of a higher floor or a junior suite. This time they put me on a higher floor. when i asked what about a junior suite on a lower floor they said it would be extra. i did not take it of course. Then when trying to book the room another night through IHG the agent through text blurted out a crazy price…. and i was like, “so it’s cheaper off a third party website. then she wrote, “ let me check the lowest we can go” she came back and said, “ we can do $$&@$) would you like me to take care of that booking now? So it was more that the booking.com price, so i booked my appt as an Elite member and they can’t ever match the rate of the 3rd party site.
intercontinental is my go to spot. Friendly staff, clean, classy, pool, hot tub.

GermanyWhile the staff was friendly all around, there are some weaknesses in the service at times. There have been instances where the breakfast order was not collected from the door knob and where the room was not cleaned after informing the reception that the room is ready to be cleaned. But it was cleaned nicely in the evening after I told them again. This is complaining on a high level. I think a hotel of this caliber should offer their guests a couple of water bottles in their rooms. Nothing is provided here.
I was here for 7 days in a Junior Suite, which had an incredible view at both the skyline and the ocean. Top to bottom windows all around the main room and the bathroom around the corner. All window sheers could be opened and closed electrically. The bed was extremely comfortable, the room had a lounge area, a desk and a large TV. Storage space was sufficient for one person, could be a bit tight for 2. I enjoyed the space in this room. I didn't use the breakfast downstairs, but rather used the room service. I would choose this hotel again.

Central location. Close to everything but away from the slums. Nice bar in the lobby. Very nice pool/spa/gym. Nice veranda on the 6th floor to get some fresh air.

I liked everything except the cost of parking. I had two vehicles on site and would have left one car somehwere else if I knew how much the parking was.

Great view from 29th floor. Great onsite restaurant. My daughter loves pools so having an indoor pool and spa here is amazing. Didn't use it, but the gym looks amazing and has all the right equipment for a great workout. Location of the hotel is amazing. WONDERFUL staff. My daughter was a little antsy at check in so they provided her a little stuffed animal and coloring kit. AMAZING!!
