Coffee was weak & I would have liked more of a wine selection by the glass. They only offered the Henderson wine which wasn’t to my liking

Bed was extremely comfy. The room was spacious & pretty decor. Breakfast was a very European w little croissants, mini quiche fruit & even a dessert

We toured the other open rooms. Some rooms were nice and some were dark and small. Our room was kind of hot. Not the best air-conditioning.

The free breakfast was yummy, beautiful flowers around the facility, nice fire pit and chairs and very friendly staff. We had a very comfortable bed. Kept up well for how old the castle is. Good proximity to downtown bars and restaurants.

We stayed in the kings room and it had steps going up to other room girls were very hot up there and lower area not much room to move around would like to see bottom area as a sitting area and upstairs have air. Bathtub shower head would like one that comes down to spray self better. Felt like I was gonna fall through the floor was unsure of the tub. Wanted to go to hot tubs on roof but got in late. Would like to see hours extended for this.

Staff was amazing and very friendly easy to talk too. Loved our bags carried to room and the feeling displayed that we were treated as the only ones there yet other guests stayed as well. My daughter turned 16 she loved the experience served a drink upon our arrival. She got her out tiny cake. Breakfast was wonderful. The amenities were great in room. Loved the letter letting you know hours for stuff open.the hot tub pool combo was nice on side yard. Gardens beautiful very tranquil.

Wish that the restaurant was open along with wine cellar, but we understand it was the 4th of July. Would have liked to enjoy those amenities.

The bed was very comfy, staff was very nice and assisted during a holiday. Hot tubs were a welcome addition in addition to the fireworks on the rooftop deck!

The pool was not clean. The complimentary breakfast was not much as there were no cups for the beverages and there was no food available. A little disappointed that the wine cellar was not available or part of the wine tasting.

The ambience was great. The fire pit was a bonus. Having actually keys instead of a key fab was great.

Our complaint only comes with the judgemental looks we received when we entered wearing leisure clothes. After a long day we were tired and had dressed comfortable. It's not like we have on holey sweatpants or stained up shirts. It just wasn't very welcoming.

The atmosphere is amazing. Such a beautiful setting and the aesthetics of it are spot on.

I feel like there needs to be more direction on what to do when there. Just overall direction. A pamphlet if staff isn't able to take time to explain how things work then a pamphlet would be nice.

The staff was very hardworking and kind. The Castle house was very clean and beautiful! I loved each room having its own unique touch! The breakfast in the morning was perfect and just wonderful. I love the relaxed atmosphere from staff and down to earth yet still professional. I definitely want to come back for more. Brunch is fun there too!

My friends were very elderly and somewhat disabled. I assumed when I booked their stay that there would be an elevator to take them to their room. Not so (and they had to circle the Castle to find the ramp to get them into the building, rather than lugging their luggage up the entry stairs). This needs to be made clear in the booking information so people can properly decide whether or not to stay there.

There are 30 % addt’l hidden costs to this booking. The “historical preservation tax” was mentioned in the descrip - but not the addt’l “fees” that were not included in the almost $200 per nite price tag - “city accommodation tax”, “covid recovery tax” AND “resort fee” - all tacked on TOP OF the sales tax and “credit card surcharge” fees. This was our most expensive hotel on this trip, and I would not have booked this place had we known that the total price would be over $100 more than what was quoted by Booking.com :( The on-site dinner & cocktaile were fun, but not $200+ fun.

Delightful historic building with all manner of weird and wonderful decor and spaces…

The floor was very slick in the bathroom so be careful, and also maybe some comfortable sitting chairs in the room.

The Henderson Inn was more than accommodating for my unexpected late arrival due to plane delay. We stayed in Carriage Room A which was a little different in that the toilet is right in the edge of the open shower, but hey it works and made a memorable for us. The room was spacious and bed comfortable, it’s not fancy like the castle rooms. The breakfast at the castle was wonderful with a warm croissant, fruit and yogurt. The antiques and decor were beautiful and the service impeccable. I was a little worried with some of the reviews but we enjoyed our stay.

So I had booked the cottage that has two beds it was me and two friends well they charged me an another 40$ for my two friends when they didn't eat breakfast or use the robes are anything.. we go to the ground floor hot tub and it's not working... The hot tub side was colder than the swim side... I went to go to sleep and after I got charged 40$.. there was no blanket or pillow for the Murphy bed.. we checked in at dark so didn't notice this till check out... There was broken glass along the steps in to the cottage and the walk.. I cleaned it up bc the cottage next to us had a baby with them.. usually the castle is awesome and relaxing not so much this time

I hate complaining when they offered.a discounted rate due to the storms but I would be very upset had I paid full price! Got a room that sleeps 3 but the 2nd bed was hard as a board. Hot water didn’t work in sink until we ran the shower causing floor to be wet - there’s no tub just a shower but the shower floor is the bathroom floor love the concept but not a great execution. Holes in wall by register- spiderwebs in corners- I understand upkeep on a landmark or historical building is more difficult but… It says 2 hot tubs but how to use them was not freely offered the one on roof was off limits if people were getting massages and to get up there you had to be taken - a little misleading.

The location was perfect. The concept was great! Breakfast delicious! Staff was pleasant! Wine was great!

We had reserved a room with 2 queen beds and arrived to be told that there was an unexpected issue with our room and was "upgraded" to a different room..the other room was smaller with only one bed. So, it wasn't an upgrade. We were told about the rooftop hot tub on check-in, but the access was locked for the entire stay.

The heating in the Venice room, wish the fireplace did work, but could see how maybe not in the interest of whole house safety.

At the restaurant, the staff was fantastic, Alexander and Gabriella were excellent and catered to our needs. I can't wait to come back and have another fabulous meal and be waited on by a great staff.

Stayed off property at upjohn house. Floors were dirty, sink was dirty, coffee pot with no cups. I was told the employee would help once we arrived. No staff! Stepped on a nail. Also a foul smell coming from the bathroom at the main entrance. Very disappointing.

Dinner was good, but the temperature was not as it should have been. The seafood and steaks were barely warm when they were served to us. Also, we were told the hot tub was working. When we went to check it out, it was lukewarm at best. It could not be used because it was too cold. It also snowed the night we were there. In the morning, nothing had been shoveled and no salt had been put down. This is something that should have been done immediately, in my opinion.

The castle itself was really cool. It was clean and the staff was nice.
