Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Only one ice machine worked for three floors of the property. Pool was not in working order. No fridge or microwave in the room.

The exterior needs a new coat of stucco. The beds were very small for a "double", they felt very much like a twin. The pool was not in service, one of the reasons we booked here was the outdoor pool. The excuse we were given was there were not enough pool maintenance people in the city for all the pools and theirs could not be serviced.
The room was very clean and smelled very fresh. The A/C worked great. The location was great for this trip, near the mall we were visiting.

A fenced-in spot for the dogs to be off leash would have been nice. The pool was out of order so we could not relax by the pool.
The folks at the desk were very helpful. The beds were very comfortable. Elevators were in working order and the campus was very clean. For the price, we were very pleased with the accommodations.

The price of the room was inflated compared to the actual room. Almost $200 for one night! It was more like a $100 a night room.
They did change the room because for the safety of our vehicle we needed to be able to see it.

The pool was filled with dirt and not in service, and our bathroom sink backed up quickly with some grainy black stuff. Overall the facility looks like it's falling into disrepair all over the place.
Clean room and comfortable bed, and being walking distance to mall was fun.

It is in need of some remodeling to make it more attractive and hospitable. Just slapping another coat of paint on doesn’t upgrade the property. More presentable check-in staff would be an asset also. I guess there are no dress codes any longer.

My room was on the second floor. the railings were rusted, the walls had paint chipping and the roof was moldy and had chunks of plaster falling off. the pool was green.
The interiors looked brand new and were very clean and attractive.

Bathtub had big soft spot in the middle of it, could feel it sink down a little when you stepped on it. Breakfast was good but not enough seating for people, had to take ours back to our room.
Easy to get to, staff was very friendly.

Breakfast didn’t include any meats or scrambled eggs. Only boiled eggs for proteins.
I liked the location and it was very easy to find coming from the Turquoise Trail. The beds were very comfortable.

The outside of the building and surrounding grounds are unsightly. The lack of landscaping and run down parking area give off an unsafe vibe.
The staff was really friendly and helpful with directions to events in the area. The rooms were very clean and the cold breakfast had a great variety.

The outside of La Quinta is in very bad shape. Rails are very rustiy. Outer walls, stucco falling off. Looks really bad

The shower was horrible!!! Bad water pressure and water sprayed everywhere. Very hard to get even water temperature. I will not stay there again because the bathroom was so bad, old and in dire need of upgrade.

The room was not totally clean, broken shoelace found next to bed and corners in the bathroom had not been cleaned properly.

We were not aware that the hotel rooms had outside entrances, but we did appreciate the elevator to get our luggage and us up to our 3rd floor room.
The room was clean and comfortable. We did not have breakfast.
