Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaSuper thin walls: children running around above us & we could hear everything our next-door neighbors were saying. Decent size room but a bit little "faded".
Great location, nice shops & restaurants right there, 15 min. or so drive to downtown Portland. We had a nice balcony but unfortunately the lake was drained when we were there. Nice little kitchenette with fridge, sink, toaster, microwave, coffeemaker & glasses but it seemed a little odd that there were no plates or silverware.

United States of AmericaThe lake was being drained so we'll have to come back sometime, but the view is great and we took a little car tour around the area; fantastic homes;people were friendly, they had a luggage cart which helped esp since we're walking w/canes; tv service is excellent compared to most hotels including a much better remote; frig is great, we had leftovers from Olive Garden plus pop/Bloody Mary Mix/milk, etc, lots of room; great having a pull-out bed and separate room for spouse as we usually sleep separate due to my medical issues plus CPAP machines,etc....just a nice older place, central to so much; ate at La Provence, too.....excellent food and service! I forgot bath tub is great size(I didn't take one but nice to know for future); we usually play Scrabble but it was cold & rainy so next time we'll be able to play on the deck....thanks.

United States of AmericaThe rooms are a little older and could use some sprucing up but everything is well-tended to and the staff is attentive and seem to be happy and want to make your stay pleasant.
So close to restaurants and shopping. Great areas for walking. And how can you beat being on a lake and watching a variety of wildlife? Even the train - which was probably 30 feet from our room - became a welcome event. Fun!

United States of AmericaI wanted a room for just me, with a view. I got a suite, dark inside, medium view. I’m not sure I had to pay for this extra room. It was a waste. Bed was terribly uncomfortable.

CanadaThe automated wake up call service didn't work. Luckily I woke within a few minutes of the time i requested. I believe there was a room above us. On a few occasions there was loud thumping coming from above Room 39. however there was no such noise while we were sleeping.

United States of AmericaThere was a funky smell to the room when we first entered; later, it seemed a bit better. Mattress was too soft and a bit lumpy; I had a back ache every morning. Kitchenette was fine, but there were no plates nor silverware tho there were glasses and wine glasses.
Location of hotel was great - easy to walk to restaurants and to shopping. View of lake was lovely! Staff was very friendly and helpful.
