Amazing in the summer, can't wait to go back and experience it in the winter

It didn't detract from our experience, but others may want to note: No AC (this was particularly uncomfortable in the restaurants and when trying to sleep). There are no elevators in the building we stayed in, stairs or ramp to the 3rd floor. No phone in the room to call the front desk. Spotty cell service outside of the immediate lodge area (at least for us). A bit of a struggle to find close parking, but we made do and it wasn't a huge deal. Might be a challenge for those with mobility issues.

Took a bit to get there, way out of the way, which was the point. Just happened to be very hot (for us) that weekend (humid mid-90s) and there was no AC anywhere. We survived cheerfully and made strategic use of the room fans. The lake was awesome and became a huge help in cooling down. We loved all of the close hikes and trails. We never got bored or lacked something to do. Great location, great food, and great company. We ate breakfast and dinner at the lodge (both were wonderful), had lunch at Dino's, and dinner at the Salmon place down the road (which were also delicious). Beautiful lake view from our room and we also loved sitting in the lawn chairs at the main lodge every evening enjoying the quite atmosphere of a historic landmark.

The lodge limits free wifi to only 90 continuous minutes per day per device. Given the high cost of the room, this limitation spoiled our stay.

You only have access to 90 min of free WiFi per device per day which for the price of staying here, i would have expected free unlimited WiFi as most hotels do. But I’m assuming there’s a reason for this limitation

Stunning scenery, yummy restaurant, can access hiking right from the lodge. Nice small beach. Fun yard and board games available. Clean large rooms. Lake view is amazing! Keurig machine in room.

Exorbitant lodging rate! Small room in old lodge.. No place to put two suitcases. Few electrical outlets,, inconvenient locations and worn out. No staff outside to help you move your luggage inside.

Beautiful surroundings! Great chef! Clam chowder was excellent! Available parking. Nice staff.

We stayed in an original lodge room. It was small and we could have really used a minifridge. The only place to eat nearby is the pricey hotel restaurant, or to order a pizza.

A charming lodge in such a beautiful location right on the lake, with beautfiful hiking and road biking right outside the door. Staff was fantastic

The WiFi charges for a very patchy service. I understand the location is remote and they wipe their hands of any responsibility as it is an outside supplier but they are providing this service. I think they would have less complaints if they didn’t charge.

Perfect place to relax, great walks, loved the hummingbird feeders. Very good restaurant.

I booked on line the day of our stay. When we arrived we got a room. But was intercepted before we opened it because it was already taken. It took them 2+ hours to clean and prep another room for us (actually it changed 3 times while waiting in the lodge). Beautiful place, but wasted our time.

    Picturesque, history of the lodge.

The room felt slightly outdated, but it was clean and the TV and fridge both worked.

Can’t beat the location … the hiking trails are fabulous. The view is amazing. This lodge is more secluded and even better than Hoh Rainforest. No lines here, either! Food was expensive, but that’s to be expected at a place like this.

The restaurant had very noisy fans, so we did not eat there. A dinner in the restaurant with view onto the lake on a personal celebration night was a criterion for booking the hotel. Constant humming sound from some sort of mechanical device (ventilation/aircon/ice machine?) at night was disturbing (though not extremely loud) as we expected a quiet night in that location and for the price.

Rooms need TLC – felt worn down, furniture was dinged and scratched beyond “rustic.” • Overpriced for what you get – expected more polish and comfort. • Slow check-in process – took a long time to get settled. • No refrigerator in room – despite being told there would be one at booking. • Awkward room design – bathroom sink in the main room, odd showerhead placement. • No air conditioning – only a ceiling fan. • Hot water issues – more lukewarm than hot. • Poor Wi-Fi – only 90 minutes free per day; very slow even if you pay. • Limited front desk help if booked through Booking.com – made room changes difficult. • Better value found elsewhere – had a nicer room for half the price in Forks, WA.

    • Spectacular location – perfect for slowing down and soaking in nature. • Stunning setting – surrounded by trees and a lake, very picturesque. • Undeniable historic charm – the lodge has a rustic, nostalgic feel. • Dinner at the Roosevelt Room – a standout experience. The NY steak, salmon, and pasta were all top-notch. • Ceiling fan helped – a relief since there’s no air conditioning. • Good weather during stay – made up for some of the comfort issues. • Great for writing, relaxing, and nature lovers.

Breakfast wasn’t tasty. I wish there had been more information about the lack of cellular service and Wi-Fi beforehand.

Lake Quinault Lodge is in a great location — right by the lake with adorable views and a very peaceful atmosphere. The setting is definitely the highlight, with easy access to nearby trails and nature. The rooms were clean and the overall experience was comfortable. One thing to note: there’s no cellular service and no free Wi-Fi, which made things a bit difficult since we needed to take work calls. However, the paid Wi-Fi worked well enough and ended up being a good solution. A solid stop for relaxing and enjoying the scenery — just plan ahead if you need to stay connected.
