Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesIt’s totally fine! Even have free filtered stations to fill your water bottle. I would like fitted sheets but I mean, whatever. It was one night. It’s fine!
This location is PERFECT for a one night stay to explore Olvera Street, Chinatown, and Union Station plus excellent to get easily and quickly to Dodgers Stadium. You can even take the shuttle free from Union Station which is a 5 minute walk to the hotel. And right next door to Phillippe’s which is of course a must-eat restaurant in Los Angeles! This hotel is all about the location. Staff is pleasant and helpful. The parking attendant is totally awesome. Sheets are Euro style as in no fitted sheets—they use flat sheets for both so they don’t stay on well. Bring your own or make do. It’s totally fine. But this is a no-frills situation. Only $5 for parking. You can’t beat the value that’s for sure. I would return with family. This is NOT the place for a couples getaway or girls’ weekend. We had to rooms booked and one wasn’t ready yet. When u inquired when it would be ready I was told, “the cleaning staff is behind and I’m not going to pressure them.” I LOVE THIS. I absolutely adore them for standing behind their staff and supporting them. Fabulous!

United StatesNo coffee pot in the room and carpet in the hallways could use a good deep cleaning but overall stay was good!
I was pleasantly surprised by this stay! Easy walk to Union Station and only $5 a night for parking which is hard to beat in downtown LA. Beds were a bit firm and walls thin, but I still felt comfortable and safe. Perfect budget-friendly choice for the area.

United StatesThe shower is just like rain. Not too strong a stream. I had to ask for a chair for my room. There was none. But I got it
The hotel has a perfect position. It is close to El Pueblo, the historic Spanish quarter - exactly a street with old houses and restaurants. Just behind a corner Chinatown begins with bistros and grocery shops. Metro stop Union Station is 200m away.

United StatesThe beds were in need of attention ~ the mattresses were quite worn as were the linens. The bathroom door was heavy and hard to keep open. There was a man sitting outside on the sidewalk/steps each day and night that made us a bit uncomfortable. There was no coffee pot or glasses etc. There were no chairs to sit upon at the desk or otherwise. There were no night stands. The shower had no shelves for toiletries.
We could tell that they were trying to present a lovely renovation of sorts. We appreciated the proximity to the train station as we came in on the train. They greeted us as we arrived and each time we returned. We appreciated the room having a refrigerator. The bathroom was clean. The towels were fresh each day. The size of the room and the bathroom were quite adequate.

United StatesI didn’t like the neighborhood; it seemed a bit dangerous and not very safe. The hotel smelled a bit like smoke, food, and a bit of dust. The room felt a little cramped and outdated. And sometimes there was a guy walking back and forth in a really strange way. But honestly, for one night, it was pretty decent.
I only liked that it was close to Downtown. It had enough space, the bathroom was fine, there was nearby parking that was free, and it looked pretty safe

United StatesNot a safe neighborhood and absolutely no frills.
Well, it’s not the Ritz, but it is really close to Metro Station, which we needed. No frills, but it wasn’t horrible and the front desk was very friendly.Sketchy at night, but don’t miss the Mexican Marketplace down the street and the Phillipe restaurant nearby. Very cool and the best hand dipped sandwich ever at this landmark deli.
