Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe owner of the building
The property was in a great location. However it does need a lot of repairs. While there the first night we were evacuated due to a carbon monoxide leak that apparently the owner knew about but did nothing about it. I am thankful that no one was fatality hurt but not thankful on how the owner handled the situation. The manager and staff got a lot of bad vibes from people and they were not the ones at fault. They were unable to do anything because they could get fired and that alone shows how corporate is for them. I actually think through what the staff and manager went through that they should sue the owner for the bad vibes they got. My dad is a Vietnam veteran whom grew up in that area. He had a stroke two years ago and was unable to make a trip till this time. He is handicap and in a wheelchair and to be evacuated in the middle of the night like that was very inconvenient. We did stay the rest of our reservation after that and the staff did all they could to make it comfortable for him and us. I think the owner owes the people a refund for that entire night stay. Instead he only wanted to do 25 dollars. I believe in all fairness that is unacceptable. I believe he owes the patrons an apology for that night and he needs to spend the money to fix the place.

United States of AmericaRoom I booked in advance was not available upon arrival. Staff are not the friendliest. Prescription medication found in floor of room.
This was my second time staying here, traveling with pets on both occasions. The first time, we chose a pet friendly room and then called the hotel to double confirm that we had pets and that a pet room was available. When we called, they seemed slightly irritated that we had. We assumed this was because we had already specified a pet friendly room and didn't need to call, despite the fact that the website mentioned that we should do so. Based on this experience, we did not call after booking the second stay. Upon arrival, the staff seemed very put-out and stated that she just wasn't sure that she even had a pet friendly room available despite the fact that I had booked a pet friendly room months in advance, specifying 2 dogs. She finally placed us in what was reportedly not a pet friendly room, but was in the pet friendly wing in a handicap accessible room. We didn't get the suite that I had booked and paid for as she claimed that no suites were pet friendly despite the fact that I had booked and received a suite on my prior stay. She explained that there is nothing in their system to notify them that a room has been booked as pet friendly unless a guest has called and staff have then put up a physical note to make other staff aware. I find this difficult to believe and/or that it wouldn't have done any good to call ahead as I booked several months in advance. That sticky note would've likely been long gone. Long story short, DO actually call to confirm that your room will be pet friendly, both at the time of booking and again shortly before your stay if there is much of a time gap. Be prepared to pay notable pet fees per pet. Also, check your room for cleanliness/pet safety before letting your dogs loose in the room. We found a prescription pill under the edge of one of the beds. On the plus side, breakfast is better than average for a hotel breakfast and included a pancake maker and hot gravy and biscuits.

United States of America1. Facility needs a lot of repairs. Air units not working, door card readers not working, open ceiling tiles in first floor hallways with exposed and dripping pipes, carpet uneven. 2. This facility doesn't communicate well with Booking.com. Our reservation was canceled, but reinstated; over the next couple days,, I overheard other guests being told that their Booking.com reservations were canceled too.
Staff were great.

United States of Americano fridge, continental breakfast wasn’t very good and the pancakes were about the size of quarters, literally. same leak in the downstairs hallway with buckets to catch water, was there the last time I was there. only ice machine is on the first floor. TV froze up constantly. There aren’t many options in that area so I’ll probably stay again. I was comfortable. nice view from my window. I also like that you can open the window. Plenty of parking.

United KingdomFirst impressions count, stained roof as you walk into reception, doesn’t give that reassuring feeling you’re looking for. Pet friendly doesn’t normally mean a Doberman behind the front desk roaming around, barking when people go to front desk. TV was useless, picture froze multiple time a minute for a few seconds on all channels. Sometimes it froze for minutes - TV is a basic requirement in a hotel, it’s not hard to get right. Staff put the TV issues down to weather, wasnt even raining at the time, it was a constant issue throughout the stay. When you look through previous reviews from 4 or 5 months ago the same problem was occurring with the TV. Bedding had stains on top covers.
Location was good. Room was clean with the exception of stains on top of bedding. One of the staff members was trying hard to be friendly, others not so much.
