Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe room smell was rough. Very harsh smell of cigarettes and we along with our luggage smelt like cigarettes. We also had to keep getting our room key reactivated, but the staff was so so nice, we really didn't mind it too much.
Bed is a bit stiff and the room smelled like cigarettes. Honestly, my group and I did not really mind, truly only used to hotel to sleep since we were most out and about through the weekend. Great hotel location if you're going for Boston Calling.

United StatesMotel 6 Danvers,MA The entire motel is DIRTY. Toilet seats in every room are not properly installed ( single volt, lose bolt, stripped bolts) Getting a complete set of linines is impossible. Also linines from the 4 floor should NEVER be used on any other floor as the forth floor is a smoking floog. The motel needs to be tented and fumigated. Upper management has just been changed so maybe things will change. Oh and if you are towing a RV you will be charged an extra $100.00 per month as a storage fee. The management company that runs some of the Motel 6 in this region for G6Hospitality is very un professional, and rude in my opinion. On the day of my departure I questioned the $100.00 storage fee because it was the first time in my many stays that it was requested. I was told it was a city issue with taxes. I knew this wasn't true being a paying guest as all the other hotels in the same town don't have that issue. It is however an issue if you're renting storage spaces to non paying guests as your running a secondary business, and then yes the city wants taxes on this. It was funny because the letter I received clearly stated that the fee was $100.00 Plus tax. I immediately went to the front desk to pay this new fee without question, I wanted to avoid any issues. The previous manager (just terminated) accepted the payment but the system wouldn't allow the entry for TAX. Kind of shady and To me sounds like the management company may be collecting unreported income. IRS. Issue. One last issue, the day before I left all the luggage dollies were removed from service and I had to hand carry my "months long" luggage down to my car. I did mention the front desk that not having a means to transport my luggage was an ADA issue. The response I received was outrages. Instead of acknowledging the issue I was asked if I even knew what the ADA WAS.

United StatesThe halls stank of merijane. And children running up and down the halls. As well as our sleep was disturbed by the next room with fighting and screaming. The floor in the bathroom had extended water damage to the point the flooring was buckling, and the tub was missing pieces. And it took forever to get hot water for showers. The room was very minimal and basic. No frills, for sure. The hotel must be used for extended stays quite often.
I was able to get things I needed right away. And it was somewhat close to Salem.

United StatesApparently, the hotel was overbooked so when we showed up at 11pm after a long day of traveling we were told there was no room for us. The hostess was not friendly or remorseful at all just kicked us out. I have not received a refund yet for my booking and I'm appalled that this is how they treat paying guests. Aside from that, there were people standing out front the hotel smoking pot and yelling at us as we walked out. It was very unnerving.
Nothing. I can't say anything good because it was a terrible experience.

United Statesit was unclean. The hallways smelled terrible, our bathroom was terribly dirty. Hairballs, hairpins and mildew all over the bathroom. Toilet seat was very loose and the pieces of the floor that separate the main room and the bathroom were not even connected to the floor (we gave these pieces to the front desk personnel, she apologized). There was a large hole in the wall as well. We informed the front desk of this as well, again she apologized. Very dissatisfied and disappointed, paid close to $500/2 nights and the room was terrible. was unable to locate other accommodations due to the busy-ness of the season.

United StatesIt’s a pain having to use nearby amenities because of the location. Having to drive around in a big circle. Also the dirtiness. The shower was disgusting and not capable of being used because of the mold and grime all over. The floor hasn’t been vacuumed around the walls and bed in probably months. The lighting is poor and so is the tv lighting.
Convenient location to Salem.

CanadaThe motel was very dirty. Our room was never cleaned once during our three night stay, nor were our towels exchanged. We had to go to the lobby ourselves to get clean towels. There were burn marks all over the room floor and the bathtub. The hallways smelled of cigarettes. The elevator was also quite dirty.
The bed was comfortable.
