Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesAC and fan was off when we arrived and we were unable to cool room off until the following day, which made it hard to sleep. Ice machine was broken. Internet was out for a portion of our stay.

United States(1) Parking was an issue for us. I counted 6 parking spaces, plus 1 handicapped space and 1 space that’s marked “No Parking”. We could not find a parking space around 4:30pm so we parked at a 2nd location suggested by Mother Nature’s Inn (the lot West of the Inn by the laundry mat and Real Estate office) but there were tow-away signs all over this parking lot. My husband learned from a shopkeeper at Heather & Pine home furnishings that 2 of their employees were parked in the Mother Nature’s Inn parking lot and would soon be leaving. After one of them left, my husband re-parked the car because we feared our car would be towed away if we left it in the suggested optional parking lot. (2) The carpet appeared dirty. (3) The sink in our bathroom was draining slowly.
The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the lake and is close to restaurants and shops. The self check-in process went well. The beds were comfortable.

AustraliaI feel like the photo on the website probably reflects a more updated room than what I stayed in. It wasn't cleaned to the greatest level of detail (dust on the blinds and a museli bar wrapper was under a chair). There was also a sign pointing to reception, but I don't actually think there is a reception area? But it was safe, convenient, and comfortable, so a decent a stay overall if you're good with a place with a bit of character!
The location is excellent and the self check-in was very easy. Parking was great - right outside the motel. The room had plenty of amenities: desk for working, microwave, mini-fridge, nice chairs for sitting on the balcony.

United StatesBed was too soft and not so comfortable (but that’s our thing, others might like it). Too many emails from the staff (at least once a day). Toilet flush wasn’t working very well.
Amazing location close to everything, comfortable, warm, spacious and cozy room. It feels like almost like a studio. We had a lovely stay!

United StatesThe room was not very clean upon arrival. There were some hairs in the bathroom on the toilet and in the shower, even actually on the bed. There were also some stained towels. We were very tired when we checked in, and the owners of the place were very quick to respond to my message and had the Cleaner come, but we were very tired and she did not speak any English and she honestly seemed really rude and did not want to clean the place. So we settled for some new towels. I get it that they were quick to respond, but it’s pretty annoying to show up to a dirty room when you’re tired. I didn’t even want to review, but I kept getting emails to review the place.
The room is in a great location, easy to walk to restaurants. The bed was comfortable, and the heater worked really well. parking and check-in was easy.

AustraliaThe mattress and pillows need refreshing. Otherwise, no complaints.
Location works great for walking around town and as a base to visit the area. Designated off-street parking for the Inn is a plus. The room was cozy and quiet enough.

United StatesNo early check in available and check in is later than typical -4pm. There's no one on site to help with any issues that pop up. They don't offer beach towels.
Fantastic location; across the street from public Beach and in between all the restaurants in the area. They were relaxed about parking, no permit required. Shower toiletries were good quality.

NetherlandsThere’s no staff so it’s all very impersonal with automated messages and entry codes. The pictures of what seems to be the lobby is in fact the unrelated shop next door. The fridge is making a lot of noise.

United StatesI found the mattress too cloudy and my preference is for a mattress to be firm, so I sleep more comfortably. This is a down side for me but for some people it may not be.
The hotel is well located in the main area of Tahoe City. Easy to grab a cup coffee when leaving in the morning and to get a meal at night. There are stores nearby to visit. It kind of "faces" Lake Tahoe - you cannot see the lake from your window - because it is on the main street, so every time you leave the property you will have the beautiful views of the lake. It is a good space for two people. The room is warm and well decorated accordingly to the place. There is a book in the room explaining how to handle the nature around the lake and we found it really useful.

United StatesRooms are a bit small and behind a shop on the main street. There is no front desk and when we visited, the shop was closed. Thankfully, we were able to call the owner and they were super responsive! (side note- if you are booking this place to ski at the Palisades Tahoe resort, leave early because there is a slow moving traffic from Tahoe City)
Great location, on the main street of the Tahoe City. You could walk to many restaurants and cafes in Tahoe City. Tesla charger is just a couple of mins away. Rooms are nicely done with a personal touch of mother nature theme. Checkin is seamless with a digital lock and unique code created for the booking.

South AfricaThe initial 8 day stay was good, however once my initial stay was up i booked another 3 nights because my work accommodation at Palisades ski resort was not ready yet, i then got a message from Palisades 2 hours after i had extended my stay at the inn for 3 nights to say that that my accommodation was now ready, however the Inn was not prepared to waiver the cancellation fee even though i cancelled very shortly (literally hours) after my booking which was extremely disappointing considering i had just paid for an 8 day stay at the Inn. Booking.com sent the Inn a message requesting the waiver of the cancellation fee but this was ignored by the Inn.
Location was good right in the middle of Lake Tahoe town. All the communication with the Inn back and forth before my stay was excellent. All Queries were answered timeously.

United States1. They charge less on their direct website than on Booking. I’ve been booking.com customer for years, I like my rewards, and I like experience booking on the app and I feel very disappointed to find out that the hotel charge booking.com customers more. Next time I will still book on Booking, but probably not this hotel. 2. They don’t have reception, on one side it’s nice, as I enjoyed easy self check in, but on other hand when you need something, you can’t get ahold of anyone. 3. Their Wifi s bad
Nice location, easy check in.
