location, too far from city centre, have to get taxi every time you go somewhere, far from grocery stores. nothing close by

Nothing, Room had no utensils, simple things like spoon or fork not available. When asked at reception they told us to buy your own. Did not get our room cleaned for the 4 nights we stayed, No change of sheets or towels.

Everything was awesome and as accommodating as my previous experiences but was not comfortable. Rude and troubling awakening during the night with a woman screaming and it sounded like she was being choked out somewhere in the building and then later there was a man causing a ruckus in the front parking lot. Did not get much rest that night.

It was a mediocre hotel for a very high price. The value and the location in did not warrant the price. Also, when we arrived at the hotel, there was a group of about 25 guys who worked for the Forest department that were checking in. There were 3 hotel employees behind the counter of the hotel but they must have not known what they were doing. My husband and I waited a good 45 minutes before anyone behind the counter even acknowledged us and when they finally did there was no sort of apology for the wait or anything. Really bad service

There was a great pizza place that was walking distance from the hotel called the Moose's Tooth Pub and Pizzeria

The location was sketchy. They even had to call the police for a guy who came through the hotel but who was not staying there. The breakfast options were mediocre at best--and quite a few choices were sold out. The room was noisy. There were other patrons in the hotel who reeked of urine and this affected the whole lobby.

The staff was super friendly. The beds were reasonably comfortable. The room was big enough.

Cold rooms and attitude towards Alaskan natives

The workers talked about me in a negative way, not knowing I was right there in the lobby! My first room was warm and comfortable, I paid for another room in the middle of the night, thinking they would let me rest, by sleeping in, because I have bad insomnia . But instead of letting me get a good night rest, the front desk worker called me at 11 am check out time, telling me that I had to move! Even though I paid for the room in advance so that I could get some sleep, the front desk worker knew that in the middle of the night I had a scary situation with a new medication, and had to go get Benadryl around 5 in the morning! So I just got my money refunded for that supposed to be next room’s stay for me snd my daughter. They had the nerve to try to charge me 145.00 for one day after I originally only paid 120 on line

Flight cancelled. Specifically booked here based on Booking.com listing that there was airport transportation. There wasn’t. $16 to get there in a taxi, $14 the next morning to get back to airport. no reimbursement. unable to cancel reservation

After 1 night of sleeping in the hotel room, I ended up with at least 10 bed bug bites. This was our first night in Alaska so it couldn’t have been from any other place. My sister (who was not bitten) and I traveled together and the only difference we had was our beds. We requested a room change, but during the rushed move, my sister lost her airpods. We only discovered this after a few days after we left Anchorage. They said they closed the room for inspections after we left but didn’t see it in the room when we called so either it was swiped by the cleaning crew, or another guest had stayed in the room shortly after we left. I had requested to talk to the management 2-3 times during our stay and was told they’ll call us back since they were never present at the hotel, but it never happened. We specifically searched for hotels with free shuttle service to-and-from the airport and this place advertised that, but we only found out after we arrived that they have no driver (for a while it seems) and could no longer offer the service. They did not notify us beforehand, if we had known, we would have canceled the reservation and chose another hotel. There are many similar priced hotel rooms in the area, and I would recommend anyone traveling to Anchorage to avoid this place.

The people at the front desk was friendly, but couldn't make many decisions without management. I felt bad they had to deal with our problems because the manager was never in.
