Only bummer was no refrigerator or microwave in room despite their being plenty of room for both in the room we had. Staff always provided ice if requested.

Nice rooms and facilities. Pool was nice as was bar. Staff went out of their way to accommodate. Restaurant was terrific.

Disappointed with the lobby coffee area being out of regular coffee, and the limited availability of ice. I didn’t like having to ask for it and then not being able to get any in the morning at all without walking to the cafe. They were pretty busy and I didn’t feel comfortable asking them to stop serving guests to get me ice.

Our stay at the Oakhurst Inn was great! The room was charming and clean. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. The inn is in a great location to explore Charlottesville!

There are things you need to know; while there is a climate control panel in the room, it doesn’t work. We arrived, the room was an austere 65 degrees, we had to beg reception to get it up to 70 — it was a cold day. Reception is a separate building, its entrance is indicated by a sign with arrows pointing in two opposing directions. To turn off the bedside lights in room 21 you have to unscrew the bulbs. The important looking electrical outlets by the bed don’t work. The main light switch must be on to light the lamps, charge your devices, make your coffee, etc. You can turn off the lamps at night by finding the appropriate buttons near the bottom.

They were very kind, they welcomed us with a greeting card for our 10th wedding anniversary and gave us two drinks. The attention is very good, open to give you recommendations and help you make your stay special. We loved celebrating our anniversary there. Super recommended!

The floors are incredibly loud since they seem to be the original wood floors. I was up all night every night, listening to the people above me. I felt terrible for anyone below me as well as the creaking and loud noise was unfortunate. Every time you took a step on the floors. I also wish there had been a small refrigerator in the room.

The rooms in the property were gorgeous. I loved the history of the end and all of the special touches in the room. The amenities such as sheets, towels and toiletries were nice!

It was hard to get out of the cul-de-sac. Making a left turn on the main road on Friday was tricky.

I appreciated the quiet, clean room. I was able to work and slept soundly. I would like to return for a weekend when the students are not in session to explore Charlottesville with my husband.

The parking situation was a little difficult for a larger vehicle. That wasn't completely expected since parking was simply listed as a available on the website.

Great time at the cafe, the bed and couch was very comfortable, and the rooms were so quaint! The staff was very friendly, and helped me and my family feel at home.
