Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content

- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The door to the bathroom/shower was a hanging door that was easily going off the rails and very difficult to open and close. My child got stuck in the bathroom at some point. The floor near the toilet and baseboards were very dirty. The microwave and refrigerator were dirty. There was a used coffee bag in the coffee maker.
The location is very convenient if you are heading to the Yosemite valley. The personnel were very very polite and helpful.

Lovely stay in Oakhurst! The lodge is surrounded by beautiful scenery, with mountains and trees all around. The room was cozy, the staff welcoming, and it’s a perfect spot to relax before exploring Yosemite.

Air con unit was very loud. More pillows would have been nice. But all in all, it was good value for money.
Oakhurst lodge was a very convenient place to stay for Yosemite. It was as described and shown in the photos, and the breakfast was included in the room rate which was a nice surprise. The aircon was very much welcome as we were there during a heat wave.

The area around the property could be better, prettier or better arrange.
I liked the cleanliness, the bathroom and the size of the room. Also it has a smart tv and we could set up our Netflix account. It has a mini fridge and a microwave.

I was traveling alone (25 y/o female) and due to poor research, I didn’t realize the door to the room opened directly to the parking lot. I saw “lodge” and “hotel” and assumed it had an indoor hallway so I was very taken aback when I arrived. That being said, I had no reason to feel unsafe as everyone staying there seemed like they were just in the area to visit Yosemite. All in all, I was definitely a little nervous staying there alone as a female but I think that might’ve been my own anxiety and it wasn’t the lodge’s fault. Also, not a huge deal but the WiFi didn’t work (I called the front twice but then gave up).
Great location (about 14 miles AKA 25 min from the southern entrance to Yosemite), free breakfast, comfy bed, working TV, easy access to car in parking lot (free parking, Raley’s (grocery store), gas, Starbucks, and restaurants also very close by! The bathroom was clean and the shower had great water pressure.

The WI-FI wasn’t working at all in my room. The staff tried to reboot their systems but that didn’t help either.
The location of this property was excellent if you plan to go to Yosemite. Very clean and the staff very helpful.

Dated and not in the best condition
It was close to the South Gate entrance of Yosemite. The owner of the hotel was pleasant, helpful and attended to my needs.

WiFi connection wasn’t good. Had to use hot spot. Breakfast was decent, not a lot of options. No eggs, sausage, pancakes/waffles compared to the Oakhurst Inn.

The breakfast could have included some kind of meat or protein, but it wasn't a deal breaker.
Great location. Staff are professional and friendly. I brought my dog (Boxer) with me. There is a large place in the back to run your dog. I felt safe.
