I liked that it had everything and we didn’t have to leave to eat out or have fun. Everything was walking distance like the beach, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

I love this property. From how AMAZING and friendly all the staff are and professional to the beautiful entry way once you walk-in. The staff almost leap to help you and offer water, if I could alone rave about how fantastic the staff are- huge kudos to them! The property feels new and clean. You can’t beat the location, right across from the beach. They have everything you could ever need, from a convenient food/coffee/snack shop, gym, drift restaurant (loved the pizza) and a hot tub. You can also use the laundry service. Let me not forget the Tammy Fender spa attached to the Opal- now that is a relaxation experience all on its own. Best massage I think I have ever had and got to enjoy the infrared sauna after my massage. It was a wonderful stay and I am now a huge fan of the Opal.

The pool area was extremely busy. The staff were good about finding you a spot but the guests secure their spots early and just rest their towels for he day!

The elevators needed maintenance.

We had the best time staying here at the Opal Grand Resort and Spa. It’s a great location, as well as being clean and beautiful. They go out of their way to make sure your stay here is enjoyable! We will definitely stay here again.

The fire alarm went off 3 times when we were there ! That was a little annoying. 2 out of 3 were false alarms.

We loved our room ! It had a balcony ! Also I loved that I was able to text the front desk. Very convenient to do restaurants ! . The pool bar staff is amazing !!! They are friendly and so accommodating The front desk staff is also friendly and helpful

The room is not very stylish... I know this is a make-over from a Marriott, but the soft goods and the interior of the rooms are just meh. I also HATED that in our resort fee, you do not get a chair at the beach. That is super uncool.

ALL of the food and beverage offerings are fantastic! I was so pleasantly surprised that for a hotel, they were hip, practical, well priced, fun --all the things right down to the coffee shop in the morning to the roof top bar, to the pool side cafe for lunch -- we ate in all of them. IT was perfect! Staff is also very, very congenial.

On Sunday, had to wait for chairs around the pool.

Friendly staff, although we arrived well before the 4 pm check in time we were welcomed with a glass of champagne and early check-in. Turn down service nightly, with chocolates! Great decor. Easy walking about town, beach, restaurants, shops. Hotels bars and restaurants were great and rooftop bar was wonderful. Very easy to get Uber when needed.

The front desk staff from start to finish were excellent. We were able to check-in early and it was GORGEOUS! The beds were so comfortable, and the rooms were immaculate. I highly advise staying at least 3 nights.
