Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Concerned with cleaning personnel last year. I’ve had stolen property in the past. I’ve been staying there two years because of fabulous connection to Barnes Hospital. Also: it appears the computer system the good check-in people have is inadequate. It takes SO LONG to check in.

Free breakfast and free parking
With the expensive cost of the room breakfast should be free instead there's a menu you have to order from and pay. Parking is expensive as well if I am a customer at the hotel I should not have to pay for parking.

We requested a king bed at reservation but received 2 queens instead. No mention about it until we got to the room. Toiletries were in low supply considering the rooms are not supplied daily and you need to catch the service person for more. Front desk didn’t have any extra to give. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay.

Paying for parking
Room was comfortable, location great. If anyone needs to visit the hospital next door it is attached and is convenient. I was afraid that being located near the elevator would be noisy but it wasn't, very quite, and was able to get a good nights sleep.

Some front desk staff seemed quite unconcerned about comfort and satisfaction. Few smiles, even stoniness on the part of the tall, bald gentleman who granted or denied our requests with equal indifference. Some were helpful and friendly, but compared with Bonvoy staff we're used to dealing with, the people here were real sourpusses! The duvet - I had dreams that I was drowning in it. More like a pall than a bedcover. But then, I just don't get duvets. They're either too hot or too cold. Layers give you so much more flexibility.
Large room, nice view to the north, great neighborhood.

Breakfast was not included in the room price even though an extra fee was charged for "conventions.". This is apparently not a tax, otherwise it would be called a tax. We were not attending a convention.
In room coffee maker made reasonably good coffee. And despite being attached to a hospital, it was quiet at night.

We had no hand soap in our room which I find odd so we used the body wash bottle. Then we found a lighter in our bed under the sheets soooo yeah that was interesting.

One of the dirtiest places I have ever stayed at. Bathroom sink had mucous from previous guest. Toilet seat had pee all over. They sent someone to clean it for me. The person used the same rug to clean the toilet first and then the sink and bathtub. I had to buy cleaning products at a store nearby to clean the bathroom myself properly.
Very convenient location. Be aware that the bridge to hospital closes at 5pm.

The only thing I didn’t like was the receptionist that checked me in didn’t add breakfast to my room after she offered it and told me what time it was at. So when I got down there I had a problem getting breakfast. I didn’t like that cause I was dressed in my robe waiting to get it taken care of so I can go back to my room and finish my stay before checkout.
