Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CroatiaThe place has a 1950s feel or earlier. It is very basic in style and decoration and comes across as not very appealing in this day and age. It could have been a building where people in lower paid jobs lived permanently in the 1930s or 40s. It was OK for the 2 nights but not more than that as I would have felt depressed there.
The value for money was great in the insanely expensive Bay Area. The location right on Market Street is also superb. The rooms have a washing basin and the overall impression of them and the public areas is one of cleanliness.

FranceI see effort has been made to renovate the building, but some drawbacks (I only state this as to prevent future customers to shy away) the buildings settle over time a nd my room (209) has a double pane sash window but as the building 'sinks' the frame became more of a parallelogram and would not close all the way. NO HEAT! the central heating was not present when I had the room! Lastly as there are some lights out the window better to have opaque (lightproof) curtains! Also the TV had only one channel, NHK from Japan!
Nice locale, an attempt has been made in refurbishing the hotel, the double bed was excellent! oom was quiet.

United States of AmericaThe wifi was spotty. Often times I would be connected to the network with no internet. Unfortunately, we couldn't control the temperature of the room.
The quality received for the price of the room was good. The hallway bathroom and shower were clean. Our sink onside the room was clean. Our room was restocked with soap every day and the towels weren't scratchy or thread-bare.

United States of AmericaThere are a few little maintenance issues that need to be looked into (door to the bathroom repaired so that it shuts correctly...)
Though this is an older hotel, with the toilet and shower down the hall, one can't beat the price and location. It is a walk-up and I was on the third floor, but the room was clean, as was the toilet and shower. The hotel was quiet (though my room was to the back.)

GreeceWell we all know San Francisco is ridiculously expensive but still 90 dollars for a single room in this hotel is too many.. It's not value for money as we say.. A refrigerator for example in the room is necessary or the carpet isn't the best choice for a hotel.. I think a price around 60-70 would be ok..
Good location, good neighbourhood a few metres from Metro station.. Shared facilities like bathroom was clean whenever i wanted to use it.. They changed towels every day.. Wifi was good..

CanadaWifi was really bad. It did not reach my room at all so I had to go to the corridor to connect to it. As a traveller looking to plan my visit and book activities, it was really inconvenient. Also, even in the corridor it was slow. The street outside is very noisy and in my room there was no AC or fan so I had to keep the windows open.
Located very near a metro station and in front of tram lines. So visiting the city was easy. It was very clean both in the room and in the shared bathrooms.

United States of AmericaIt is dated, it needs new bathrooms, new paint colors and new carpeting and white linens. But it is fine the way it is for the price.
