Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe restaurant with the hotel has closed so you can’t get dinner at the hotel, but there is a lovely Mexican restaurant walking distance.
The hotel is in a really old building where nothing is in a straight line. The lounge downstairs is amazing. If you love a bit of history take a visit to this hotel! As others have said you will either love this hotel or hate it. It is very basic. The room was cold when we got in it (they ask you to switch off the heating when you leave) however it soon warmed up. The room was very small and there was no coffee maker in the room.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. If you’re looking for a hot shower and quiet place to rest after a long day on the trails and at a reasonable price then this is your kind of place!

United StatesRoom is tiny. The bathroom is tinier and you're literally sitting against the walls when using the toilet. For the price it gets the job done, but for what you get it should be cheaper.

United StatesProperty was exactly as we expected and a great value for proximity to hiking Mt. Wittenberg and Cornell. Easy check in and check out process, very clean room!, and they offered coffee and water which was nice. We were a little bummed that the on site restaurant wasn't open, but the Mexican restaurant within a few feet was a great alternative! The bed was also very noisy and not the most comfortable, but we only stayed for the 1 night. The shower area is rather small, but also not a huge deal for us as we are used to camping in our RV with similar space. There wasn't a TV in the room, but the WiFi worked great and could easily stream something through your own devices.

United StatesThe attached tavern wasn't open when we were there. Not sure why as we were under the impression that it was when we booked. Turnout out to not be a huge issue as there was an excellent Mexican restaurant a few doors down.
Very cool old building and quaint little mountain town to walk around in. Two art exhibits were going nearby. The porch of the hotel was very comfortable to enjoy the beautiful Fall weather.

United StatesIt didn't have a TV and the shower was a little small. No breakfast and the restaurant opens late. Rarely saw a staff member. Your key is left outside in an envelope with your name on it.
It was cozy and nice. It was an older place but had character. I did enjoy my stay. They have a bar restaurant and a store across the street. They also accommodated my early check in request.

United StatesThe room is small, low ceilings, no views and the entire hotel can use a minor update or two. Overall, though, there is a lot of charm and quaintness to the venue. The bar and lounge are both very nicely decorated, warm and welcoming, and staffed by lovely people.
A great little bnb hideaway in a small and beautiful town. We barely used the room due to our excursions and the town itself has a lot of great pit stops and destinations. Use the town center across the street for planning, and ask the friendly staff for their takes on things. Do not skip the Mexican restaurant down the street-- it's amazing-- one of my top 3!

United StatesWe booked online, and then received a phone call from the hotel saying that it was a holiday (4th of July) and she wanted to leave to watch the fireworks (it was 7:00 PM). So, she left our name and room number on a piece of paper in the lobby and the key to the room in the door. This was pretty unsettling as we were in an unfamiliar area. A very nice woman was in the hotel in the morning, but it is possible there was no staff there overnight.
Cute little town, but was literally empty (zero people) when we arrived (7:00 PM on 4th of July). No place to get food or even a bottle of water without driving out of town. The hotel is a very old building, and while normally we like that kind of place, this was much too run down. The lobby was comfortable and welcoming.

United StatesBoth the room and the bathroom were very small, the bathroom especially so. I guess that's to be expected in an old building but folks should know that someone in a larger body might not fit comfortably in the bathroom.
The staff was friendly and helpful with finding things in the area. Linens were clean and the bed was comfortable. The location is gorgeous, there was plenty of parking across the street, and wait staff at the attached bar/restaurant were courteous and responsive.
