Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe price was one of the highest we paid, out of the 14 properties we booked. It was not worth it.

United StatesThe keureg machine was right by the bed and woke me each morning when my husband made his coffee.
Our spacious cabin had a huge jacuzzi tub with lots of hot water that came in handy after hiking In Yosemite. Also the on-site wine tasting and small plates are NOT to be missed!

AustraliaDidn't appreciate the live band on our first night. Was not aware of live music and wouldn't have booked if I had known. Not that the music was bad or even played that late, but we were wanting an early night after a long drive, and were planning to rise early to catch the sunrise in yosemite. We didn't catch the sunrise as we slept later, so we weren't tired for a full day of hiking. Maybe letting guests know at the time of booking to avoid disappointment would be a good idea. We don't drink alcohol or attend live music events so felt pretty out of sorts.
Tranquil, picturesque, comfortable and only a little over an hour drive to yosemite.

United StatesThere were no clear parking spots. It was kind of a free for all. However, we were always able to find parking.
The room was beyond our expectation and had a lot of touches that made our stay more enjoyable like a microwave and mini fridge. The best part was the balcony overlooking the river. We ate almost every meal there .

United StatesThe TV was a little wonkey. Would not work after 9pm as it appeared someone put a timer on it or something.
Lovely little place. I went quite sure what to expect because of the great rate, but we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived.

United KingdomHonestly can't think of anything I'd improve apart from more of the delicious complimentary cookies, somehow 4 isn't enough!
Beyond perfect, the most beautiful views, perfect sunbathing by the river and almost warm enough in April for a swim in the river. Just the right mix of hotel and cabin/glamping feel. The winery is divine and we had an amazing meal and wine tasting (which was complimentary). Staff are amazing and really go the extra mile with homemade cookies and towels folded into bears in the room. The cabin itself was beautiful, everything was thought of and the whole thing smelt beautifully of the fresh pine it's made of. Beds are incredibly comfy and shower only took 30 seconds to warm up. The little private balcony is perfect for a glass of local wine and a game of cards

United StatesCommunication between Booking.com and the property is sometimes askew, and Booking .com is impossible to contact quickly! we will NOT use Booking.com to book this property again! No "table top" space in the room for eating, or sitting, etc. Just one chair in room. You may have to track down someone for check-in, the office isn't always open. There are NO EV chargers on property, and staff do not know where the closest EV charger is located (thank goodness for EV apps!)-this property (including the restaurant), could be much more inviting and convenient with at least one EV car charger on property. Booking.com should list whether a property has a charger-or not.
location, the Kitchen rest. so good, and so convenient for a nice dinner and great brunch; winery, small bar is just right, and location near room is good; upgrades to room are well done-the small deck, the wall fireplace, all well done, the bathroom is bright and the shower is big (although the shower head could be higher for us tall people), dog-friendly is a plus! The location is quiet, and parking is easy. approx. 90 minutes from property to the Yosemite Valley floor.

I liked how close it is to drive to yosemite which is all we wanted. Water pressure was amazing The facilities were good for us, we wanted a stay close to drive to yosemite, if you want luxury and a great TV this is not it. I liked the added extra of a private deck with a cute view. Very quiet area! Bed was comfortable too We got delayed by 6 hours due to flights and turned up at the hotel 30 mins after check in and staff had made sure we could still check in which was more appreciated than they'll ever know (it was such a stressful day)

NetherlandsWe would have liked it to have breakfast there, but they did not offer that. Especially because most people go to Yosemite very eaurly and there is nothing else open yet. Advise: get some sandwichs the day before, put them in the frdge and take them with you and eat them when you make the ride.
The view at the back side of our appartment with deer walking around is great!! We stayed in the group of appartments, but perhaps we should have choosen the separate ones which give you more views to the woods. Probably our group of 5 was to large tot facilitate. However, we were far enough away from the road not to hear anything at night. The road to Yosemite Valley takes 75 min, the entrance takes about 20-25 mins to go to Mariposa (which was closed unfortunately due to the washburn fires) Parking is at the lot next to the appartment. If you want to get info on Yosemite, be in time at the vistior centre in the town which closes at 4.30pm. They can give you up to date info on the weathersituation there (and perhaps also about fires going on)
