Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The accomodation is very well located. We were able to sleep 5 people comfortably. A good sized bathroom with plenty of towels. The small kitchenette was well stocked and a really convenient option. The room was clean and (notwithstanding this is New Yprk) relatively quiet. It was great to have helpful staff on site.

Aircon was a bit old but it worked. Just noisy and couldn't really direct air easily but it's a minor issue.
Great to have a well equipped kitchen as Manhattan is expensive! Awesome location with a subway 1 minute away and just a few minutes walk to Broadway and Times Sq. Really helpful staff. Clean and tidy and really quite spacious. We'd definitely stay again.

'Kitchen' was a shelf with a microwave and fridge....fine for us but not if you were expecting a kitchen as advertised.

Right next to Time Square but on a quieter street so wasn't noisy. Friendly reception staff. Was clean and had everything we needed for a family of four. Would definitely recommend. Toasties next door for breakfast was good too.

It’s in the heart of the city so there is city noise. It didn’t bother me but not a place for the noise sensitive. I rated it high for value, but due to the optimal location it is just as expensive as other properties in the area.
Very clean, so nice to have a kitchen with a stove and full size refrigerator. Bed was comfortable. Room small but well organized and updated. The location is first rate for theater goers, also a hub for subways and buses to explore other places. Staff were very pleasant.

Its noisy outside, but what do you expect from the city that never sleeps!
5 minutes walk to Times Square, 8 to Central Park. Close to Train & Subway. Absolute best location in Manhatten.

The elevators are a bit on the slow side.
Although the property is a bit dated it is well maintained and very clean, our room was spotless.

Heater didnt hv control to on by client but centrally controlled and as such if temp was not below 55farenheit they dont put it on. Ac was there with control but not the heating system

It was a bit loud at night until the wee hours. It’s an old building so the windows aren’t very thick and noise carries easily through them. Not a big deal for the location and price.
The location is incredible if you’re looking to stay within walking distance of major attractions like Times Square, Broadway, and Rockefeller center. And you couldn’t be closer to a subway entrance.
