Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaInterior is pretty outdated. Entry light switch is 6ft from the entry door on the outside wall to the bathroom. Lose the blinking alarm clock, OK? Sink was cracked and the faucet handle was loose and leaked a bit. No spare blanket. Zero outlets on/near the bedside tales. One bedside table light bulb burned out. No USB outlets anywhere in the room. It's OK, but really outdated.

USAThey say breakfast until 9:30AM. HOWEVER, I went for breakfast at 8:45AM. and no eggs, no sausage patties, and out of pancake syrup. And they were cleaning up instead of restocking the food. Happened both mornings we were there.

United States of AmericaOn the "breakfast lady's" day off, the breakfast was poorly maintained, if at all and I felt somewhat "ripped off". There were one or two nasty looking muffins, at least one kind of juice in the dispenser needed to be refilled, the counters were getting nasty and the trash was overflowing. The desk clerk was not helping anyone check in or out but was on the computer. The clerk seemed to avoid looking at the breakfast area. I refer to this as the "too busy for customers syndrome". Some guests were definitely looking at the clerk as they mumbled not so kind comments about the quality of the meal. The clerk apparently lacked the motivation to take action to improve the guests experience and that was unfortunate. As for us, we hit a drive through on our way out. Our room was clean and nice, but it lacked an alarm clock and outlets on or near our nightstands. I walked to Home Depot (next to the hotel) and bought two extension cords and an outlet adapter so I could use my CPAP machine and charge our phones on the nightstands. We needed the phones close for calls and to use them as our alarm clocks without draining the batteries, normal stuff everywhere but here. The only outlet near the bed was under the headboard in the center of the bed. It already had an adapter in one plug to power the two lights on the nightstands. I used a similar adapter on the second plug to power my extension cords. Problem solved. In fairness, I did not contact the front desk about the power issue. There was only one available outlet available and it wasn't like they could install another one while we were there. Changing rooms wasn't an option as one of us is unable to use stairs and there is no elevator. It was mentioned casually that the first floor was booked when we arrived so spending $10-$15 at Home Depot seemed like the easiest option.
I tend to watch the staff of the service providers I frequent so I understand their effort and value they place on us, their patrons. For the most part our stay was a very pleasant experience. Checking in and out was simple and quick. The kind and helpful lady who prepares the daily breakfast is amazing. She's one of those people who stand out because of their work ethic and I cannot say enough to express my appreciation for her making sure we started our days with a positive experience. During my extended stay, I noticed how quick she is to clean up spills, clean the counters and keep all the food and beverage machines clean and well stocked. House Keeping did a wonderful job and I have no complaints. Our furniture, floor and bathroom were very clean when we arrived and because of this, we put up the do not disturb sign so they wouldn't clean our room each day. It just wasn't necessary. We ran out of tissues and when I mentioned it to one of the ladies in housekeeping, she stopped what she was doing and made me her priority. I told her I could wait, but she wouldn't have it. She wanted to install it in the bathroom wall dispenser for me, but I insisted I could manage. I walked away feeling like a VIP... over a box of tissues.
