We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaThe bed was so hard. It hurt my back and the couch was a bit hard as well. My son couldn't sleep on the pull out couch the second night. He chose to sleep on the floor on the cushions instead.

United States of AmericaThe room had a funky smell which ran throughout the hotel hallway on the ground floor. Once I used lots of air fresher it decreased. There were no instructions for the wood fire place that I could see, as such the room above use set off their fire alarms.
It was a 3 minute drive to Midway Village Museum. The family two room sweet was very large with a full size fridge. Shower had hot water and bed was comfy.

United States of AmericaAlthough we had this nice functional kitchen, it could have been equipped just a bit more. There were only 2 of the 4 burners that worked on our stovetop, there was no washcloth, or sponge, to wash the dishes we were using, or detergent to run the dishwasher. I had to run to the store to purchase them, as well as a skillet, and measuring cups.
This was perfect for our little weekend getaway, it felt like home away from home. Very comfortable and quiet.

United States of AmericaThey put an additional hold on your bank account when checking in. Upon checkout the hold (at the higher amount) remains for 3-10 days. I booked multiple rooms. With each having the additional hold, I no longer had money for necessities. Booking.com needs to tell you to plan for additional hold so that you can plan accordingly.
Room size was great. The couch was comfy to relax on and hide-a-bed wasn't too bad.

United States of AmericaThe pool and hot tub were not working, and I had two little ones with nothing to do, stuck in the room. The room description also states there are pots AND pans, there were NO pans, only pots. So I had to improvise with breakfast in pots. One of the bathroom doors rubbed against the floor, making it harder to open and close. Lastly, someone went through one of our vehicles in the parking lot, ransacked it and stole change that was hidden away in the center council. I deserve some type of compensation through booking.com, I paid $550 for our stay, could take my kids to the pool after all, and left feeling completely violated.
I like the convenience of the two bedroom sweet, it accommodated everyone nicely. Very clean and didn’t appear run down.
