Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyStaff was great, room was clean and above all it was spacious, which is rare in NYC. Location is good too: 10 min walk to get to the Freedom Tower and Wall Street; Fulton St and Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall metro stops are a 5 minute walk.

The area is really nice at the Seaport, near the Tin Building, about a 10 minute walk to all the subways including the Path train. Surprisingly pretty quiet at night even on the 2nd floor where we stayed. Hotel is lovely, staff was lovely, we enjoyed our stay.

ItalyThe room was not a premium room, but it still was a bit dated and had a very soft mattress. Nothing too serious.
The hotel is well located, in a tranquil area yet close to the financial district and probably the most famous bridge of NYC, the Brooklin Bridge. Soon a new cycling and walking lane will be build on the south east side of manhattan next to the river, and the entire area will be even nicer. The staff was great and extremely supportive and kind.

United KingdomWe didn’t pay the £ premium for a street side room with a view of the road as a courtyard view was cheaper, quieter and you don’t visit New York to look out the hotel window. Internal courtyard is just some air conditioners and doesn’t let much light in on lower floors. Ultimately it didn’t bother us, but won’t suit everyone. There is no such thing as a cheap stay in NY, we felt the price we paid was fair, perhaps not a bargain. We didn’t opt into breakfast due to the price, but there are plenty of options at various price points in the local area. The only real issue we had during our stay was our room being left open by housekeeping one day but, this reported to reception who apologised and we felt it was a genuine mistake.
Location is excellent for exploring Manhattan and Brooklyn, within 20 or 30 minutes of most places a tourist would want to go. Fulton station is a 5-10min walk and will get you into most major subway lines. The Seaport area is significantly quieter than central tourism areas but still very appealing part of the city, with quaint cobbled streets and a good selection of restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is quiet and the lounge, bar and rooms are very well presented. Overall the hotel has quite has a boutique feel and you really know you aren’t in a giant chain hotel.

United KingdomLovely hotel in a nice part of town - still easy to get everywhere but nice and quiet away from busy roads etc, but still very close to lots of bars and restaurants, and really close to the Brooklyn Bridge. Staff made a special effort over the Easter period + for a birthday in our group. The great hospitality started at the door, with Chris in particular giving us a warm welcome, local tips, and nice chats on a daily basis as we came in and out, and made a special effort for my Mum’s birthday I wouldn’t have any doubts about staying here again on my next visit.

United States of AmericaThere were some housekeeping issues. The room wasn't ready at check-in time of 3pm (we were told that they were still restocking the minibar). On another day, housekeeping wasn't able to clean my room when requested due to them being short-staffed. Water bottles were not restocked when my room was cleaned. At check-in, our minibar had an already opened and mostly empty bottle of vodka. At checkout, we were informed that there was a minibar charge for a diet Coke that we had never drank (we didn't touch the minibar), however this was quickly removed when we pointed that out. Blackout curtains didn't extend all the way to the edges of the windows, so I was woken up by the sunlight every night. My room was a little loud at night at times due to being close to the street.
Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. The room was large and clean with a nice spacious bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The fitness center was small but spotless and nicely stocked with water bottles and towels at each machine. The experience felt luxurious.

United KingdomLack of day light in the room but we were out most of the time. We thought the courtyard was looking onto the plaza but it wasn’t.
Great location, spacious bedroom with large comfortable bed and cotton sheets. Quiet no noise at nighttime. Room serviced daily. Very helpful and friendly team especially the two great Porters on the door! Attention to detail amazing. And Reception very responsive to requests. Even the small gym did not disappoint was spotless. Stayed for 5 nights and would highly recommend. Lovely walks, close to great restaurants, waterfront & metro. Although we enjoyed walking to Times Square & over Brooklyn Bridge to Dumbo.

United KingdomCould have been more generous with tea bags in room but was able to access free between 7-8am in bar area and was given tea bags and milk to take upstairs
Had breakfast on 3 days and was good. Granola, fruit and yogurt twice and a bagel and french fries. All good. Had in small restaurant area as main restaurant closed. Staff attentive and friendly Really happy with hotel. Smallish and not high rise. Seaport surrounding area is quiet, lovely and light being near river side and not full of high rise buildings. As visited in March imagine more lively in summer. Thank you for our stay
