I had a wonderful stay at Sonder Battery Park. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my visit, making check-in and any requests smooth and easy. The space was very clean and well-maintained, which made me feel comfortable right away. The location is excellent, just steps away from some of New York’s most iconic spots and with great access to public transportation. It’s the perfect base for exploring the city. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a convenient and welcoming place to stay in Manhattan.

We had booked 2 king studios for our familyand inspite of repeated follow up we were not assigned the correct rooms. On arrival we were finally given one queen studio instead and both rooms were placed on separate floors of different towers.Considering that we had paid a higher fee for the king room and also booked way in advance we were told rooms are full and pre allocated by AI so no changes could be done.Therefore we had to walk a long distance between rooms.Inspite of repeated promises of refund for the price difference of king vs queen rooms,nothing has been done.There fore staff follow up and comfort rating would be moderate rating.

The rooms were clean and spacious and the size of the rooms were probably larger than what you would get anywhere else in the city.Excellent location

Beware of these 2 issues: Our room had a loud ventilation noise that the staff told us was for building ventilation and couldn't be stopped. At times it was quite loud (luckily not during the night). The sofa bed is the worst I ever tried to sleep on, I don't consider myself picky but I just couldn't get any rest because it has a metal bar across the back area and the mattress is so thin there's no way you can't feel it. The bed is comfy though.

Great location, room size, kitchenette and facilities. Rooftop is very nice, and it's good there are some common areas to chill/work from although they have no windows.

Nothing! We had a brilliant stay.

Room was massive. Kitchen well equipped. Had a washer and dryer plus laundry capsules to use. Just felt like they'd thought of everything you might need. It was so quiet as well, didn't hear other guests. We slept really well. So easy to get to other parts of the city. Lovely rooftop. Didn't have any issues with the keypad access or loud air con as other guests have mentioned. I suppose the air con was louder than average but I stopped noticing it within 20 mins. Great fast wifi

The drain was clogged when we arrived but upon mentioning the problem to the staff it was fixed the very same day so it wasn’t that big of a deal.

The location is great. The room was ok; I wish it was more spacious but for New York it was still better than other places. The view was amazing- especially at sunset!

The pool was closed and they didn't inform us in advance, unfortunately that's one of the reasons we booked the place.

There was a fan in the kitchen that was really noisy and could not be turned off. This spoilt our stay as even with ear plugs you could still hear it. Surely this problem can be addressed.

Nice apartment. Great location. Well equipped. Nice to have a washing machine and a dryer. The code for entry in to the lifts and apartment, given before arrival on the Sonder app, worked well.

Water pressure was low in bathroom. The kitchenette baseboard was unattached and laying on the ground in Room 812.

The large amount of space for two of us. The room amenities and kitchenette was nice. Bonus having laundry machines in room.

The bathroom would take a long time to drain the shower water which was inconvenient and depending on how long your staying they don’t come and do room cleaning for free, you have to pay for it which if you’re on holiday you don’t want to be cleaning, you expect the hotel to do that, free of charge

It was a nice stay and quiet enough for a good nights rest. The kitchen was very useful as it meant we could have our own breakfast in the mornings. Ample storage space for luggage’s and bags which was great!

Some of the facilities like the lounges were not the same as advertised when booking.

The location was perfect for us. easy access to subway and the ferry to Staten Island. The apartment was perfect and well suited for our needs. I enjoyed staying at Sonder and will book again on my next trip to New York

For the price of my stay, I would have found a place in the same district which offers cleaning service off-charge (at Sonder’s they charge you 50$). That bothers a lot if you stay for longer than a week.

There were door opening issues, a few times on the third days, the app would not work (neither the QR code or by typying the code on the door) which were a bit annoying. But someone did come to help and, just as they promised, there was a fix and we did not have trouble again.

The flat was amazingly spacious and light. Everything worked, except for a chair that was missing - a sort of replacement was produced within 24 hours. The location is fantastic, and everything as promised. We would stay again.
