I stayed at Sonesta along with my spouse for three nights. Bug bites started showing on our back from the second night but we thought it might be mosquito bites or something but it got worse on the last day (the day we checked out). Once we arrived home (two days after we left Sonesta) we checked the bites with a physician and were told they are most likely bed bug bites. Naturally, I called the hotel to request for the room we stayed in to be checked and let me know the severity of the situation to see what steps should I take to make sure I have not brought them home, but they kept saying we will follow up and will let you know. I waited for five days and called multiple times but every time they said the manager will call me but did not so eventually I became frustrated. I advise everybody to take precautions if they are planning to stay there as the hotel does not take any sort of responsibility for anything.

The air system was horrible. The air system seemed to have little to no connection to the thermostat and it never shut off all night (noisy too). When asked about cleaning up the room we were informed "we don't do that" (towel delivery only).

It is a shame how this place is managed, they say they do cleaning every 4 days, when actually you should ask them each time and then they forget about it. At the same time, cleaner did show up and came into my room after a quick short knock (care to kick you off but not to make you enjoy the stay). Beautiful panoramic windows were way dirty, so you see beautiful California sunsets through the layer of dirt. Also there was some weird smell around the hotel on most of the days, probably some garbage processing facility nearby, I don't know.

Good location for my needs, easy parking, reasonably comfortable furniture.

They way they charged my for me was not professional. my stay was 145.37 and was charged 193.37 on top of my 150 deposit which they ended up say they didn’t receive. then another random 5.47. then my Dumb ass goes and get another room with the prize of 145.37 Third party “Booking”but they charged me 155.37 then another 55.00 and 40.00 after that I have screen shots of the transactions. left my room today In the morning to asking about my deposit and they said that I would only receive 50.00 !! back Room wasn’t not Damaged once so over it was literally just me got the room bc im working in the Bay Area just to sleep. I’m shocked , upset & confused why they would keep my Deposit. definitely won’t recommend this locations Managing is not structured this shouldn’t happening to anyone. I was literally to different prices for both my stays
