Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesWe loved our stay! This is very much a traditional inn experience (a step above a high end AirBnB): beautiful lodging with extra services as needed (like our extra bedding), plus a light breakfast and coffee in the morning. Our only complaint is that the internet service seemed to be fairly weak--it was fine for checking email, but we couldn't stream TV apps like Netflix without it freezing consistently. Probably not an issue for most people looking to explore nature; but if the internet can't be improved, it may be best to remove the TVs altogether to avoid disappointment.
Gorgeous property and very comfortable, charming room. Very quiet! Friendly staff and sweet goats out back. We asked for additional bedding to make up the fold-out couch in our room, and it was waiting for us when we returned from dinner.

United StatesThey offer a continental breakfast which was just OK. Warmed up pastries, yogurt and granola, etc. Not bad though.
It was very quiet at this property early spring-off season. During the summer I suspect they are booked with weddings as they have all the facilities to host ceremonies and receptions. There is a nice bar that is on the honor system every night except Fridays, when they offer pizza from a food truck operator and have a bartender. It gets pretty busy with locals but was nice. We could hear the chatter from our room but didn't bother us. Beautiful property to walk around. Loved the free-roaming "Fab 5": two sheep and three goats.

United StatesI thought the continental breakfast was somewhat limited, but I suppose that’s to be expected with a continental breakfast and at such a small property.
You can just make yourself at home here. Hang out in front of the fireplace, grab a book, make a cup of tea, or walk around the beautiful grounds to see the friendly goats, ducks and farm cat. Staff is friendly and helpful, yet not overbearing. Loved the happy hour vibe and outdoor fire pit. The rooms are very charming and comfortable.

United StatesWell Water :( - not their fault, but could not get used to the smell. Was a little sad that the bar was closed on Saturday, no firepits active etc. But I appreciate the reason with staffing issues etc, and they did provide self-serve options which were good. Next time I will just prepare better, and plan to visit the nearby brewary/distillery on Saturday night.
Everything about the staff, location, property, bar and breakfast were excellent. Wish I could have stayed longer to visit the other places nearby. Would definitely recommend and go again. Thank you email with discount on my next stay was a nice bonus as well! Very Much Appreciated.

United StatesBreakfast was lackluster, nothing for a gluten-free, sugar-free or lactose intolerant child. They did have soy milk, but vanilla and full of sugar. I would have liked to have had some cereal options not packed with sugar, or some fresh berries and plain yogurt. We ended up going for breakfast which was fine. But if you tend to eat healthy, there won't be anything for you in the morning except coffee. One more thing, there was a very heavy sulfur smell in the water. I do know that sometimes when there's heavy rain, it can affect well water and cause a sulfur smell. I'm sure this was the case, so be prepared if you've booked a room during a rainstorm. They do have really fabulous incense you can burn if it bothers you. We were there during a blackout caused by a huge storm, the host lined the bar with candles and provided everyone with a lantern. We rather enjoyed it. All-in-all, it was a great night and we will be going back - with our own breakfast food!
The place was absolutely gorgeous and comfortable. Far more beautiful than the photos. My son loved the ducklings in the pond and the friendly goats. Bob the cat met us when we came in and led us up to our room. She made herself at home on our bed, it was quite the welcome.

United StatesThe nature spa amenities were not available for use even though they were explicitly listed as available amenities during our stay. Sauna did not get hot and cold plunge was closed to the guests. Some of the furniture and room decor are in need of repair, although it adds charm to the space, it’s a little off putting to not properly hang things on a wall hook, sink into a cracked leather chair etc.
Super cozy and comfortable. Goats, sheep and a cat patrol the premises, adding to the cozy atmosphere. Lovely little rooms and great location. We really enjoyed our two nights, enjoying the fireplace and the morning coffees. Great winter getaway to cozy up and read a book for hours.

United StatesBreakfast was mostly packaged cereals and muffins, apples, etc. No bacon, eggs, omelettes or oatmeal available but perhaps they will have that in the future. Not enough of an issue nor to return though.
The home was a lovely old home with lots of character. The roaming sheep, goats and ducks were a plus. They are still making improvements on the property so it will be nice to visit again to see the progress. They have the sweetest cat, Bob, who’s always looking for a lap to crawl into.
