How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Everything was just wonderful :)
The Betsy is the most amazing hotel on South Beach, with incredible staff who made us feel so welcome, the vibe is like you are part of the family. The food is simply outstanding with fabulous cocktails and live music. I can highly recommend trying The Alley pizzeria for the best pizza's on South Beach with service to match. We can't wait to return again.

Wonderful hotel, with a unique atmosphere. We loved the live music in the evening, the art deco decor, and the excellent breakfasts. Beach and roof top pool were also great. Excellent location on Ocean Drive. Staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

We had an amazing suite with a double balcony. It was amazing. Check in was smooth and Sidd helped us get situated very quickly! We loved the pool, the breakfast on the deck overlooking ocean drive every morning, and the hospitality was spot on! We stayed in the extension and we felt that the room was even nicer than in past years. Well be back!

The property is quite confusing to get around! Even on day 5 we were still unsure which lifts to take. The hotel has a slightly older crowd and sometimes we felt a bit judged for walking in off the beach! Sometimes quite confusing to get a table outside if you are guests as usually says reserved on most tables! Service a bit slow outside with not the friendliest female staff A little expensive compared to nearby hotels
Perfect location. Gorgeous hotel and decor. Great drinks in the bar (get the rose sangria!) Sophisticated vibe. Good live music. Great pools (x2) Really friendly front desk male staff members Directly opposite a Starbucks which was great for jet lag!

Very indifferent welcome when we arrived. To be fair the front desk was busy . Also on arrival to our room the toilet was blocked . Evan though this was corrected quickly I thought it was something that should have been spotted on inspection before we was allocated the room .

I don’t like the 20% gratiuity automatically added to everything and when you come to sign it asks for a gratuity still so you could easily end up giving a 35% gratuity. This practice seems widespread in Florida and its not good

We only used the concierge service once to book an Everglades tour, which they ended up booking for the wrong day and the wrong number of people (despite us being there with him at time of booking!) In the end the alternative day and additional people on the booking worked
Really great bar/ lounge area with drinks and food and friendly staff. Great location. Nice rooms and facilities

Our room (family suite) had limited storage for clothes and luggage. But was manageable for three nights, would be cramped for a longer stay.
Excellent location in the heart of the Art Deco district of South Beach. Lovely roof top pool. Lots of restaurants and bars in walking distance.

The location is perfect and the staff are charming. We would have rated everything as high as possible if not for the lack of cleaning in some areas. Particularly the pool area. Food and drink stains still stuck to the floor for days. Everything else perfect would highly recommend.

Windows overlooking the street could have done with double glazing to reduce noise a bit.
Fabulous boutique style hotel with a retro feel perfectly suited to the area. Staff were excellent and helpful. Live piano every day added wonderful ambience and our suite was comfortable and spacious enough. It was a short walking distance to excellent eateries of all cuisines.

Loved the location, super close to the beach, Starbucks, great restaurants. They had their own adorable little coffee shop. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, which was a nice surprise. Very aesthetically pleasing hotel (and rooms). I loved all of the art and the poetry bridge. Since it’s two connected buildings, it can be a bit confusing to navigate at first, but I think that adds a little adventure to the stay ☺️

Pianist was too loud, and a bit annoying, and the music wasn’t on keeping with the hotel.
Love the art deco theme. Felt like we’d been transported back in time. Staff were excellent especially the reception staff, concierge and bar staff who are impeccably dressed.
