Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThis lodge has seen better days and has not been well kept. It is too bad because the space and location are truly lovely. Yet the bed was comfy and water hot. The lodge itself has been remodeled. Breakfast is very simple...yet got us down the road.
We had completed a 72 mile bike ride and hoped to stay in Missoula, but there was a huge marathon and all rooms were taken and very expensive. Exhausted, we searched Bookings and found the Lodge at Lolo. We would arrive late as it is up a winding road. I called the lodge and they were great. The key would be left for us. All went well, we found our room, shower and bed.

United StatesMy particular room was a bit musty. The interior looked to be removed from a late 70’s mobile home. Breakfast selection was limited.
Great location and very polite and helpful staff.

United KingdomI booked through booking.com, when I arrived at the hotel, the hotel had no record of my booking, luckily they still had a room for me. This however meant I had to pay twice, I was not amused.
The location, the people and the facilities couldnt have been better

United StatesRoom smelled. Discovered it was a disgusting fridge, which was not even plugged in and had bacteria-infested water pooled up in it. I'm fairly technologically inclined and it took some serious finagling to get the TV to where we could watch a DVD (only way to have something on TV).
Spring water was nice

United StatesThe room wasn't very clean. There was trash under the beds and a bug in the sink and the tub had a lot of dirt in it. There also was not much light in the room. The TV was not set up very well either. All bearable things but I think it would benefit to be a bit more diligent with upkeeping the rooms a bit better.
The hotsprings and breakfast were perfect. The view was also very nice. The staff was super friendly and the beds were pretty comfy.

United StatesWhen we checked in they put us in the "outpost" building. We had booked a king room and all of the rooms out there are queens. The room was tiny and the lights didn't work in the restroom. The entire building stunk of marijuana. We went to ask for a different room, they tried to put us in another room in the same building. When I told her that I can't be around Marijuana because of my job, she changed us to building 2 which was a king room like we had paid for. The breakfast lacked any form of protein save for the sausage gravy. Lots of carbs, biscuits and gravy and waffles. Very difficult for a person trying to have a high protein low carb diet.
The pools were clean. For the most part very relaxing.

United StatesMy only complaint was that the room and the lodge/breakfast area were really cold. They had baseboard heaters , bur even turned up full blast, I don't think our room ever got above mid-60s. The dining area was also uncomfortably cold. You needed to wear a jacket while eating. There was a fireplace that was nice for ambiance, but it didn't actually heat the dining area.
The room was very nice -- comfy bed, cute decor. The breakfast was the typical waffles, fruit, muffins, etc. The lodge area was lovely and homey. They had two sweet little dogs, so it gave it a nice, familiar feel. Also. I appreciated that the strong sulfur odor you get at some hot springs wasn't an issue here, even though their pools are inside.

United StatesDistance from Missoula misleading,no WiFi except in Lodge, the term hot springs is misleading as there were two large bathtub type “pools”, there is a swim pool but you had to pay extra to use it.

United StatesThe lodge isn't new, and the rooms could be freshened up. The table and chairs in our room need replacing. There is no cable, but they have TVs to watch movies in each room. There is wifi when you get there. But you are in the forest! It is meant to be rustic.
The hot springs The breakfast The drive along the Bitterroot River to the lodge is spectacular. The beds are comfortable.

Loved the scenery and overall experience. The Bar & Grill next door had great food also. The soaking pools felt amazing.
