Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI was totally impressed with my stay here and the reviews are spot on. Everything from the cleanliness, accommodation, privacy and more. The host was very friendly and helpful and would highly recommend the look out inn for great vibes. Most definitely a hidden gem that’s only 10 mins from the French quarters.

United States of Americathe location wasn't the most beautiful. Lots of dilapidated homes and properties in the area but also homes that have been updated. Looks like people are trying to upgrade the area.
The Lookout Inn is so cute. The owners put a lot of work into updating this property. The backyard was so thought out for a group of friends staying together. Pool, hot tub, garden, lounge area, snack shack. What else could a person want? I can only speak for our room, but it was very clean and imaginative.

United States of AmericaI chose this place for the neighborhood, which was fantastic. The inn itself had quirks that could be annoying - like a loud train whistle at night, squeaky shower, dim lighting in room, and thin walls. These are clearly features of an old house, but worth noting. The hot tub and pool area were really nice, though quite small.

United States of AmericaI loved everything!
The lookout inn is one of the best places I have ever stayed and I travel a lot! The inn owner is extremely accommodating and very personable, she made everything very easy for us. The inn is so cute, even more amazing than the pictures. I loved the outdoor pool area with everything you could want including water and coffee! Our room was big, beautiful, and very comfortable. There are plenty of delicious eateries and parks nearby. I can’t recommend this inn enough! I will be back🙂

United States of AmericaThe Bollywood was a fun, eclectic, and spacious room. We had not explored the Bywater neighborhood before and just expected it to be a less expensive place to sleep while we would spend most of our time in the Quarter and the Garden district. The opposite was true. we spent most of our time enjoying the Bywater restaurants and the amenities at the Lookout Inn!
From the first moment to the last, we were were taken care of in ways that exceeded our expectations! Kelly communicated everything we needed to know before we arrived, had a great book of things to do and eat in the Bywater neighborhood, and continued to check-in and make valuable recommendations whenever we saw her around the Inn.

United States of AmericaThe room was extremely warm right after checking in. The cleanliness of the room could have been a little better. Fridge needed extra cleaning and the shower curtain was in need of replacing. The coffee pot was in need of an upgrade. No microwave in the room. The TV was extremely small and located so we couldn't watch TV in bed. Wife didn't care for the bed, and I didn't care for the pillows. We were warned about the train via the reviews prior to booking but it was still much louder than we expected. Felt the building shake a few times. I would recommend requesting what suite you want if it's available. For some reason we got switched into the Elvis suite last minute and we're not really big into Elvis. Would have preferred one of the other rooms just as personal preference.
The themed room was very interesting and had cool memorabilia. The spa/pool area was nice and relaxing. Check in was easy and owner was really friendly. Comfortable stay for the most part.

United States of AmericaWe are from NYC so the trains at night did not bother us too much. If you are a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, it might not be the place for you!
The location was perfect. We were in walking distance of many reputable restaurants, breweries and local vintage shops! Kelly, the innkeeper was personable, quick to respond and very helpful. The hot tub isn't bad, either!

United States of AmericaOnly street side parking available, which is normal in Nola. Don’t leave anything of value in your car because the car jacking are bad. I didn’t experience that on this trip, just a forewarning.
The property was amazing. The pool area was so cute. The house is in the Bywater next to the old naval base so travelers get a real feel for the real Nola that you might miss if you stay in other neighborhoods. The renovations kept the old world charm of the house, which I loved. The rooms are big for 2 people. We stayed in the Elvis room. I plan to book the entire house for a long weekend in late summer to use the outdoor amenities.

United States of AmericaWhat a great find! The location is excellent - there are so many good neighborhood gems here (specifically, Bar Redux and Rosalita's), especially because my husband and I aren't really partiers. It was a little too cold for the pool, but it was a gorgeous, cozy set up. We got the Elvis room, and it was so cool! Check in was easy, and the owner communicated by text about our stay. My husband and I hope to stay here again in the future.
