Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesBreakfast was good, but I would have preferred a little of a choice of food, maybe 2 options to choose from.
We enjoyed the cute room, location and the host!

United StatesMy boyfriend told Ken he enjoys fried clams. What did Ken do? For our last breakfast, he made him fried Razor clams. Ken also told us where we could get a good beer. The hamburgers there were delicious! Thank you, Ken, for making our visit so special!

United StatesOur only critique was that, as side sleepers, the bed was quite firm in the Columbia room. For those that don't sleep on their side, this wouldn't be an issue.
Let me start by saying that our stay at the Pearl Inn was wonderful. The owners were attentive, delightful to talk to, and kept the place clean and organized. We stayed at the Pearl Inn for the week of the Kite Festival in August 2024, and we were very glad to have chosen this place to stay in. The close proximity to the town of Long Beach allowed us to have a short commute on the days that were good to fly kites on, whereas on the overcast, rainy days, it offered easy access to head into Astoria or hike over by Cape Disappointment. From reading their binder about the history of the Pearl Inn, I learned that the house was built in 1912. The owners fixed the place up quite well, especially when considering the age of the house, while still retaining quite a bit of the old charm. That being said, there are some things that do come with an old house: The walls are thin, the floors and stair boards do creak, and the rooms are typically a bit smaller than what you’ve probably come to expect in newer buildings. However, and as I mentioned previously, these are side effects of being an old house, and in my opinion, adds to the charm and character of staying in a historical building. In summary, the Pearl Inn delivered us everything and more when it came to our week-long stay in Ilwaco. From the cozy bedroom to the incredible morning breakfasts, and much more in between, our stay at the Pearl Inn was very memorable. We would highly recommend this place to anyone that appreciates the charm of an older building, and we plan to come back again. If you’re reading this Ken and Candi, which I’m sure you will be, we both thank you very much for our incredible stay at the Pearl Inn. We’ll see you again.

United StatesBreakfast was not great. Egg dish seemed overcooked. Couldn’t really eat it. Hash browns not good. Bacon ok.
Clean. Nicely decorated. Friendly staff. Good conditions for sleeping—dark, cool, comfortable, quiet. Game room, treats, doors unlock with codes. Written instructions. Good location.

United StatesThis Bed & Breakfast was a perfect spot for my family during our visit to the coast. The hosts were so friendly, and went out of their way to accommodate the addition of an extra guest in our party. The cottage we stayed in was so cheery and modern. I will definitely stay here again if I’m in the area!

United StatesYou can sometimes hear people coming up the stairs. I don't mind because I also live in a very old house with it's quirks.
It's such a cute place in Ilwaco ... so really close to the waterfront and the Saturday market. Close to Long Beach for food and shops. A 15 or 20 minute easy drive to Astoria. Also close to Beards Hollow where you can hike or drive right into the beach. And the Cape Disappointment lighthouse. It's really well appointed and the bed was really comfortable. The period decorations are well done but the house has modern amenities. Will definitely come back. Paved easy parking.

United StatesThe only disappointment was that the state had not issued the license to serve food so we didn't get to enjoy what I know will be an awesome breakfast! I'll just have to visit again.
We enjoyed the recently restored home that was comfortable and beautifully furnished. Paris was friendly and accommodating. The Pearl Inn was a great find!

ArubaLoved this guesthouse! While the decor was quaint and old-fashioned with lace curtains it was all bright and cheery and not old and dark, the woodwork throughout the place was superb! Had the best avocado toast for breakfast - We walked down to the docks which was beautiful. A really nice place to visit!

United StatesLooking forward to seeing how the meals come out- I missed them this visit.
It’s fresh and clean, even while holding the antique furnishings. Enough modern to be convenient, while furnished to encourage you to step back to simpler times and relax. Close and convenient to the Ilwaco Saturday market, Salt Pub, and a quick drive or bike ride to Long Beach & Seaview. As a wedding performer, this will be my new home base when in the area!
