Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesAccommodations were dated and run down. Bathroom towels and bathmat were grungy grey color. The bottom of the bathtub had non slip strips missing and the ones that were still there were very dirty! Wallpaper was missing in spots . There was no alarm clock in the room. Definitely could use some updates and clean new towels!

CanadaThe constant train sounds The smell of curry in the office when I checked in was overwhelming The person who took my credit card charged an extra amount of $40.00 and kept pointing to the handwritten sign that claims they do that. It was refundable on check out after the room was checked As an older person I had one heck of a time getting the shower on…maybe a little lubrication on the handle would have helped. The sink drain was open. Not good in case I washed my hands and a ring slipped off.

United StatesThe door to the room had a gap that allowed outside air and noise in. The heating was challenging! It was snowy and cold outside and because of the heating complications, had a bit of a struggle in the first several hours to get warmed up to a comfortable 60 degrees. Around six hours later, it was warm enough to take the winter coat off and then rather hot! All things said, it was completely sufficient and the bed was comfortable.
The staff was friendly, and eve allowed me to enter the room ahead of schedule. They were very thorough in obtaining my information. Super nice people.

United StatesWe were there during some fires in the neighboring city of Medical Lake. That town is very close and had to be evacuated and this town-Cheney-was under a "Be ready to leave at a moments notice" alert level. This hotel had a very sketchy look to by the looks of the guests and some guests sitting outside smoking (while surrounded by the all the forest fire smoke) said they were living here. From that comment and the look of the building and its location, it had a flop house look to it. Well we survived the place and the fires, left early and probably would select another location if staying west of Spokane.
It was tough to find affordable rates in a place that had two beds. This motel had both but........

United Statesit was expensive for what was offered, a basic motel that came up to over $140 with taxes. there was a mushroom growing on the carpet under the sink and staff was unfriendly, not greeting customers or smiling, and stepping away from the door to force customers to open it on their own.

United StatesI think we were the only ones there just for the night it was like a crack house for people to live there. We came back to the motel after a wedding had to walk around people fighting and screaming at each other. When the “lady” said she was going to break everything around her we ended up just leaving. The front desk guy didn’t care. What a waste of 115 dollars.

United StatesSuper clean sheets and comfortable beds. Conveniently located to Eastern Washington State University. Cheney is a small country town with the grain Mill and train tracks nearby. It felt quaint, I felt very safe even though it wasn't my usual place to stay. In the 1950s and '60s this was probably a great motel for a road stop. It's very old and has some local retirees living there. I felt welcome, there was plenty of parking and the sound of the trains passing added to the country experience. The value was worth it especially compared to the Holiday inn up the road which wanted $520 for two nights. We'll stay there again when our kids starts college at EWU. Hamburger joint and a Mexican food joint are literally steps away. Pet friendly with a small deposit. If you were a kid and did the trip on route 66 with your parents this will bring back memories.

CanadaStaff was challenging and had to be prompted to accommodate obtaining a bathtub plug. Room was not clean. And I am still waiting for a $40 deposit that was supposed to have been returned to my credit card. Should I not receive that refund in the next 24 hours I will be disputing the whole charge with my credit card company.
