Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaA beautiful and special place with amazing architecture, views, food and staff. Only complaint was that our room had a very noisy toilet flush and the upstairs neighbours could be heard talking and moving around.

BrazilI think who choose Casaplueblo looks for an historic experience and don’t mind with small problems. But it’s not a cheap place and should be more cared. For example, the wood floor has openings, simple to solve, that hurt my feet. The pool also has broken ceramics, that’s dangerous. At the time announced, the breakfast should be entirely available.

CanadaSome of the charm was lost on the condition of the bathroom that needs not just updating, but maintenance. Sorry. Hate to leave reviews like this, but it’s true, especially for the cost. Its age is showing.
It is so unique. The architecture is so interesting as is the story that goes with it. The layout and levels are fascinating and having a room seaside was lovely.

AustraliaParking was either $US25 or on the road. It wasn’t a problem for us but must be in a busy period.
The location on a cliff is spectacular. The property is relatively isolated but its restaurant provided better meals than we had in top rated Montevideo restaurants. Breakfast was generous. The apartment was reminiscent of a “dugout” house on an Australian opal field because each room was at a different level and because furniture items and even light fittings were part of the building construction. Definitely not your usual space!

BrazilThe location is not the best, you’d better get a car whether you wanna go there. Is not the most comfortable hotel and I guess is not a concern when it comes a hotel built in a hill
The view definitely is unique and worthy. Staff very helpful and lovely

PanamaI lOVED everything about Casapueblo, but just keep in mind that is not in the center of Casa Pueblo, 10-20 min away from the city center. But don't let that keep you from the unique experience of Casapueblo.
You are not just staying at a nice hotel, you are staying inside a WORK OF ART - A MASTERPIECE! Paéz Vilaró was a great artist and this hotel, his own creation by hand, is the highlight of this city. The sunset from this hotel is on every tour guide, blog or recommendation in Punta del Este. All spaces are equally beautiful. Rooms have balcony, ocean view and a front row ticket to every sunrise and sunset in Punta del Este. Right next to the hotel entrance, there is the Museaum, which you can enjoy for just $10 extra. Also, I got a great price deal on this property through Booking😉

ArgentinaAs the sun sets, dealing with parking hassles at Casapueblo seems a small price to pay. Sure, it's a bit far from the city, making parking a bit tricky and cabs pricier, but the bar prices reflect the unique spot—high demand, unmatched location, and not much competition. Despite these quirks, the place is undeniably worth it, with its captivating setting making up for any challenges in the overall experience.
A sojourn at Casapueblo is like stepping into the imaginative world of Carlos Páez Vilaró. The architecture, a beautiful defiance of straight lines, sets the stage for awe-inspiring views and a poolside retreat with a distinct charm. Plus, with a single admission fee to the museum, guests can freely wander through Vilaró's diverse creations, creating a stay that effortlessly intertwines art, nature, and tranquility. What's more, they don't charge extra for delivering orders from the bar to your room.

RussiaStaying in Casapueblo is first of all staying in a museum. Facilities are a piece of art. Everything was excellent. Giant room with the balcony and the gorgeous view. The restaurant serves delicious food, we had dinner there 3 nights in a row, room service was also quick and without additional price. Spa is working fine. There was a sea lion resting just at the shore in front of the hotel and there is a very pleasant walk on the bottom of the hotel.
