Noisy fan instead of air conditioning and no window or exhaust in the bathroom.

We had 2 nights here and fell in love with Sapa. This view is so dreamy and relaxing. Hosts were very helpful giving us early checkin and arranging trekking tour, taxi and meals. The bed was the most comfortable we’ve had so far too!

The owners were so lovely and very helpful in every way. They were happy to help out with arranging a day trip with a great Hmong lady as our guide and also with bus tickets and other information. The location was lovely and so nice to be out of the bustle of the main town. The views from the garden were gorgeous and the resident doggy and cats were so friendly and sweet. The family provided lovely meals , the rooms were clean and beds comfy. A lovely stay !

    nothing to criticize

One of the ideal homestays for a Sapa trip. The homestay is beautiful, quiet, clean and the enthusiastic and attentive waiters. When you come here, you will feel as comfortable as at home. I will definitely come back here again. Everything is so wonderful!

The location was awesome, you were in a treat for tranquility, especially the owner, she was really really good, its hard to find such good people and she helped a lot in everything we needed. Again thanks a lot for making our stay a memorable one.

So if you were looking for absolute peace, the fact that it is near their "main road" up the hill means you have a lot of motorbikes going up the hill and if you leave the window opened there is a constant sound of vehicles until dinner time. But I must say the sound is nowhere near as noisy as Hanoi or the cities. Just an occasional motorbike put putting up the hill. Also do remember this place is no luxury hotel. So don't expect hardwood floors/walls or marble tiling. Their laundry service is highly dependent on weather so if it rains, your clothes may not dry in time. And the wifi can be quite weak when you are inside the rooms. Finally, do remember they cannot take credit cards. Only Cash or bank transfer (which can be a headache if your bank is slow).

This really depends on your preference but for me I loved how far away from Sapa Central it was (30-40min drive). This home stay is located within the village, up a winding hill but still amongst all the rice paddies. You can see the buffalos and chickens and ducks wondering nearby and there is a pigsty in one of the neighbouring houses where you can go stare at the pigs. Unlike some other home stays, this place is located right alongside one of the "main roads" so that it is easy for a taxi or van to come right up to the home stay which is a bonus if you are carrying a lot of luggage and don't want to have to drag the luggage up a small dirt track. The rooms are super comfy with great big windows and a bench outside which you can sit comfortably with a cup of tea or a book and just watch. I have literally spend hours on the window seat watching the world go by. It was so relaxing. The beds are soft and comfortable. The area in front of the huts is fake grass so its free from mud and a great place for kids to run around and play. The place is marvelously clean. Cleaner than some city hotels. Yes there are insects flying around (you are in the country after all), but every morning uncle mops all the entryway to all the houses. The toilets are basic but very serviceable with consistent hot water (very important in winter) and really clean flushable toilets. Even their dog is cleaner than my dog at home. Speaking of dog, they have a really adorable Shih Tzu size little pupper named Bung who just loves belly rubs and sitting beside you begging while you eat. They also have this beautiful long haired grey cat named "Miu" who appreciates a chin rub here and there. She is more flitting in her affections but still comes when you call. My toddler loved the both of them and would follow them around. Service is wonderful. Quy helps arrange for almost anything we need including transport. she advices us on places to go and visit too.

The house is made up of bamboo. So we have to walk very lightly when going up the stairs or in our rooms. So that we will not disturb the family who stayed downstairs. But it is not an issue.

Quy, the host, is very friendly and helpful. The place is managed by her parents and her. She helped to book our transport to various places of interest. Her place is about 20 minutes to Sapa Town. Her family cooked meals for us upon our request. Breakfast is complementary. I love the Pho and pancakes. Quy is able to book a guide for the trekking trip also. She speaks good English, which is a great relief for us. We also had our laundry done within a day as she had a dryer at her place. Her charges are very reasonable. My children love to interact with her house dog and cat. The place is very peaceful and tranquil. We were greeted by the sights of nature when we woke up. Farm animals like ducks, chicken, and buffaloes were sighted everywhere. It is a very refreshing holiday for us.

When eating breakfast outside, local sellers would come up to me while eating. More of a problem with the whole area than this homestay, but it's still an issue.

Great quiet location outside the main village, very friendly and helpful hosts. A great place to relax for a few days, and a good base to walk around the valley. The room was very big, spacious and clean, a comfy bed with a mosquito net, and hot water was never a problem.

The house is 5-10 minutes footwalk from the village which is good on daytimes. Unfortunately in the nighttimes this is too far because there is no light on the street but a lot of stray dogs. Be cautious. Do rather not leave the house after sunset. I had some scary experiences walking home after dinner in the village and being threatened by dogs in the dark.

The girl at the house was very friendly and curteous. On one evening she even brought me a ginger tea to my room and it was delicious. Room is cozy and has a nice view.

Exceptional. The location is magical, in the mountains and rice fields, in a quiet area but walking distance to the Ta Van town. The hosts arranged meals for me every day and help with transportation and walking around. It was the perfect place in Sapa. The beds are super cozy and the place is inspiring and peaceful. Nothing, really. The little things are all part of the experience!

Friendly hosts. Vuong speaks good English and is very contactable via text. Helped us arrange a trek, and quickly came to our rescue with towels when the pouring rain started seeping into our room through the door and window. Breakfast was provided and tasted ok. Liked the bread. Rooms are little huts with our own bathroom (good water pressure, hot water fluctuated between hot and very hot - be careful), comfy beds and blankets. No AC, but there's a strong standing fan. Walls and doors are not 100% sealed so we had leakage during heavy rain, and small insects coming through. Not a big deal and Vuong offered to change our room when we had to deal with the rain (we declined, but appreciate the offer!). The family also gave us bottled water whenever we asked, much appreciated. Was a really good 2 nights away from Sapa town. Peaceful and beautiful area, save for the occasional motorcycle tutting past that was a bit of a morning call as our room was next to the road. About 15 to 20min walk from the village town where there's an excellent bubble tea shop, and another 5min walk to the spa.
