Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

AustraliaNothing.
This place was excellent and to be honest one of the best accomodation I have ever stayed at. Fantastic service and facilities. The views from the rooms and pool are spectacular. All the food at the restaurant was excellent, including a range of vegetarian dishes. It’s really great staying slightly out of Sa Pa town.

NetherlandsRooms (not bungalows) are close to a busy road, so some traffic noise at night — though they have air conditioning. Dinner portions could be larger.
Stunning views, peaceful atmosphere, beautiful setting. Warm, attentive staff and delicious food.

I had an incredible time at Eco Palms House - Sapa retreat. The view from our bungalow was incredible, it felt like a postcard. The pool was a delightful relief from the heat and the breakfast/ lunch and dinner menus had a wide variety that kept us full. I cannot recommend this property enough, especially considering how attentive and considerate the staff are - including the pets.

NorwayWe will really miss this place! Not only are the views phenomenal, but the staff were so catering, kind, and always smiling! The hosts are super lovely, and the way they've decorated the place with local flowers and materials is beautiful. We got a free upgrade as we had a longer than average stay (3 nights), and we were very very grateful!

United StatesThe staff here were all very friendly and accommodating during my stay here. The breakfast options included in the stay are phenomenal and the lunch and dinner options at the retreat have many delicious options. The staff here was very helpful in setting up transportation and arranging activities for us at our request. They got us in touch with a local trekking guide, Giang and she took us for a wonderful trek through the local villages in Sapa. They were very good about up keeping the room and put away/set up my bug net every night of my stay

The location and views are exceptional. The service from all the staff is outstanding, we were made so welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was comfortable and spacious with the most incredible views across the valley. The team arranged for a guided trek, and our guide, Ma, was wonderful and knowledgeable. Pool was clean and relaxing with views to die for.

United StatesNam, the main host for our visit, was wonderful and so pleasant. The chef put out great food for every meal, and while the menu is small, the quality and value are big. Our bungalow was situated right on the rice paddy with extraordinary views of the spectacular valley and mountain range. If I had to sum Eco Palm House up in one word it would be serene.

United StatesThe meals and happy hour cocktails were all delicious, the staff - especially Nam and Vuong were extremely helpful with everything from booking taxis, to helping plan activities and arranging a trekking tour with a local Hmong villager, and the views from everywhere in the property were amazing, the pictures don't do justice to the ambiance with lush gardens and fountains everywhere.

SpainNothing, everything was perfect.
I loved everything about this hotel, I am so glad we stayed here it was our highlight of Vietnam. I am glad we did not stay in the city centre of Sapa even though this meant getting a taxi to places, being able to sleep next to valley and the rice fields was a magical experience. We did a hiking tour with a local guide and we started next to the hotel and was the best 7 hours of the trip. I highly recommend staying a couple of nights here to disconnect and enjoy the beauty of Sapa.

United StatesEco palms is such a beautiful oasis! The property is wonderful — lovely gardens and pool and our bamboo cabin felt private and had an incredible view of the rice fields. The food was some of the best we had in Vietnam — especially the dinner menu. I also cannot say enough about the staff and owners — they were super accommodating and pleasant, and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

United KingdomThe floor of the bungalow was made from bamboo poles and very uneven and bed was extremely low so beware if this doesn’t work for you. Also, some building works next door, which was occasionally a bit noisy.
Breakfast was lovely. Not too far from Sapa town. Staff were especially friendly and kind. Able to organise treks and excursions.

AustraliaAn amazing eco resort that honestly feels like a 5 star vacation. The service is impeccable, super friendly, attentive and offered us services even after we'd checked out. The rooms make you feel more like a local (well, a spoilt local 😌) and the ambiance would be hard to beat. Slept like a baby on the floor bed that felt so comfortable and the storm at night lulled us to sleep even more after watching the lightning from the comfort of the room with stellar panoramic views. Sure it doesn't have air con or TVs but you're in SaPa, why would you need them? We didn't even once think about any of the things that it doesn't have compared to a 5 star hotel because this beats them 10 fold on having a more traditional experience which is usually why you're in Vietnam in the first place. The food was organic and tasty, the welcome tea was delicious. This is the place to stay if you want something different to the generic hotels that cater for more western tastes, closer to SaPa. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Eco Palms House. Will be back!

AustraliaOur favorite stay in Vietnam by far! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Nam, Wang, and Bi, who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Their kindness, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made a lasting impression - my friend and I truly felt cared for throughout our entire stay. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking scenery that completely exceeded our expectations. Every corner of the property felt thoughtfully designed. Waking up to the panoramic mountain views each morning was an unforgettable experience. Another highlight was the food - fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Each meal offered by the hotel felt like a treat, adding even more joy to our time there. A huge thank you to the team at Eco Palms for such a memorable experience! We'll definitely be back :)

LuxembourgIt’s a beautiful facility with view on the rice field which is a good point! The staff is nice and the chef is very talented because the dishes are very tasty. With that being said , it’s worth mentioning that the location is not the best as it’s outside of the city so the only way to go the city is to take a taxi as by foot is almost 2 hours. And it’s not possible to use bicycle because it’s a road that only goes up. So it’s something to have in mind as the price of taxi is more expensive than in Hanoi . As for the room, it’s nice set up with good view on the rice field but few things to mention. You need to wait few minutes for the hot water (7 minutes) and the light is not so bright in the bathroom. And because the rooms are build very close to the floor , you may encounter few insects. Considering that I did not stay long in the room but only to sleep , it did not bother me much but that’s something to keep in mind. To summarize , in my opinion the facility is nice to relax with all the good spots with great view and nice swimming pool. However, considering the location and the other points mentioned above , I am not sure that it’s worth the price which is more expensive compare to other facilities which may or may not have the same view but have better location and are cheaper. I will still go there for the food though.
