It is a long bus ride to and from the boat . Not informed of this when booking . For this reason if booking again I would stay two nights on the boat. Bad research on my behalf

For some reason they offered us a up grade. 6 paying passengers with 10 staff. Service was absolutely 5 star . The staff , the room ( bathroom had full size bath and massive shower) , the top class food…..perfect

The Orchid Classic is elegant and luxurious, staff are incredible (special mention to James) who provided exceptional service throughout our stay. The food was beautiful and activities were well organised and fun. We only had 20 people on the cruise 2D1N so it quiet and relaxing. Fabulous and highly recommend.

Breakfast buffet was a bit limited, excursions a bit dull. The Kayak trip was nice but the water seems very poluted in this whole area. Cruises is quite expensive and the areas are overcrowded with cruises & tourists

Great looking cruise, not too crowded so everyone has enough space to chill. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Rooms are beautiful & clean, views were gorgeous. Food was nice.

Not about the property but the Halong bay was looking messy with plastic bottles and tins in the water. Also oil spillage from tankers were spoiling the appeal of swimming in the waters

The boat is more like a small and friendly 5 star hotel than a boat, with all 5* amenities, plus incredible scenery passing your balcony for the entire trip. The room was very large more like a suite with a nice big bed and a lovely big bath, and walk in shower. The food at all meals was of the highest quality and delivered in a most ingenious ways its quite an art form. The best thing about the trip apart from Haling Bay which is incredible, are the staff everyone is attentive, efficient, charming and available to assist in anything you need. I would recommend this cruise to my friends and family it was fabulous.

The excursions are not so interesting, too many tourists and not that exciting. Halong bay is full of garbage and even some oil spill. Companies should join hands to TAKE CARE OF THE ENVIRONMENT to make their business sustainable. It's a shame.

We were upgraded to the more exclusive ORCHID PREMIUM. Food is well presented, plenty of choices. Staff all SUPERB service. Rooms spacious and well decorated. Happy hour great. Staff attentive and tried their best to make our stay a great experience. We were pampered for our double wedding anniversaries and my husband's 70th birthday Indeed a place to celebrate a special occasion to remember.

An excellent cruise which is very well run by Orchid. Orchid were easy to deal with. Only 14 cabins on the boat. The food was amazing.

Ideally, for us, all of the three day passengers would be on the same boat Rather than swapping off some passengers halfway through. But it did not affect iour enjoyment in any way.

This was an amazing cruise that lived up to all our expectations. We loved touring the Bay. The service was first class (especially from Sky). Jerry made sure everything ran smoothly. The room was amazing and the quality of food very high.

Our stay was to short (I wish we could stay there for a week)

In short for those who are looking for a secret escape and not sure if it’s worth your while, this is the one Staff 10/10 Food 10/10 Location 10/10 Activities 10/10 If you are going to try squid fishing allow extra 30min (for fishing) if in doubt, it’s so worth it ! For £240 pp on 2D1N everything was included, minus the extra drinks at the bar

All the garbage in the water. The kayaks that let the water in as it doesn't seem clean. Disappointed that we couldn't get to the village & see more of Cat Ba Island. We were surprised at the high cost of the shuttle but wanted the convenience so paid it and then we're even more surprised to be stopping at a pearl jewellery store. We were shocked on the way back, in the rain, with bags to take, to be dropped off at the wrong hotel (which we clearly told the driver), to make our way in the busy traffic. Very inconvenient! Luckily, our hotel was to so very kind & helpful to us.

We loved the classic boat, all the crew & the natural beautiful of Ha Long Bay & Lan Ha Bay .
