Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe popular excursions, specifically the Tito’s Island and Tien Ong Cave was really crowded. If it would be possible to schedule them at different times from the 2 day/1 night trips, that would be great
Clean facilities, great food, awesome service! Even after disembarking, our cruise director helped us with transfers. Our waiter was also patient, kind and helpful with meal suggestions.

TaiwanWe asked for vegan options, and they did a fantastic lunch. However, dinner was a bit lackluster compared to the meat options. I would suggest a bit more imagination for vegan and vegetarian dinner options.
We did this same cruise ten years ago, and it's still just as great if not better! The rooms are really beautiful and surprisingly spacious. Everyone was raving about how great the showers are! It's definitely worth getting a room with a balcony. Lunch was excellent. The views from the sun deck are absolutely magical at sunset.

AustraliaThere isn't anything I could fault.
The staff were fantastic. The food was next level and the accommodation was lovely. The organisation of our family trip by Susan the coordinator was awesome. She was very helpful during some challenging times during the planning of our trip. The weather may have been wet and cold but that didn't dampen our spirits thanks to the staff and crew. I highly recommend Paradise Luxury Sails.

FranceCurrent for those cruises: prices of the drinks during the happy hour are a little bit higher than those during the regular lunches... Mass tourism activities: pearl farm mainly a shop. People were kayaking around it without real interesting points to see. Overcrowded beach (during summer). Overcrowded visit of a cave. Many boats around at night. The bay is magical but those activities are not.
Great boat and nice staff. Good food. Very comfortable rooms with balcony. One room with a small terrace was really great too!

I had been wanting to experience this cruise for almost a year now and I'm glad I had made it into reality. My whole experience was extremely memorable. I would never thought that It would be one of the best travel experiences I ever had. Been traveling the world since 1993, and I guess, this I would say would be one of the most excited tour I have experienced. The cruise was relatively beautiful -- the interior was so classy and elegant and would fit the name of Luxury sails. I have actually booked the "Paradise Luxury Sails" but probably being a lean season --- my booking was transferred to the Paradise Elegance Cruise, which would be an upgrade of what I have actually booked. The room was superb, very neat and has its own full balcony. The bed was undoubtedly one of the very comfortable beds that I have experienced. The food (both the buffet and the plated ones during dinner) were all gastronomically fantastic!! It was all worth the price. A UNESCO world heritage site, Halong Bay in itself is truly spectacular. It is unbelievable seeing this view from the balcony of your ship and as you cruise along the bay -- your eyes will be fascinated by more beautiful sites. Words are not even enough to tell you how beautiful this place is. I have to applaud all the caring, polite, professional staffs of the cruise. They were all amazing!! Two Filipinas were there to assist me during the entire cruise and I couldnt complain of their excellent service. The cruise's activities were so nice and It kept me in awe! Tiring but all worth it. I honestly would like to "highly recommend" taking this cruise. Its indeed an experience of a lifetime.

BelgiumThe transportation from and to hanoi can be organised a bit better. We arrived at 10:30 and had to wait until 12:00 before we could board the cruise. Going back, we left the boat at 10:30 and again had to wait until 12:00 to depart to hanoi. Light lunch was served to keep us occupied but unnecessary as we had only eaten breakfast 2 hours before
Very friendly staff. Cruise was well organised and beautiful scenery. Would definitely recommend!

AustraliaWhen booking we thought the two days would be two full(ish) days on the boat, but the trip technically isn't even 24 hours on the boat. Still totally worthwhile, but worth noting for expectations :)
The trip was incredible, the boat totally exceeded our expectations and we had the most fabulous time. The service was great and Mariano was really kind and thorough.

AustraliaI was jet lagged so I found it very busy with multiple stops. there isn’t a cruise that just does just the bay and stays away from tourist spots yet but they should think about creating one. it’s a wonderful place and I could easily spend a few days just learning about the wildlife and the fish with the occasional onshore adventure.
very comfortable clean ship that only has about 15-20 on board so not too crowded. Halong bay is incredible. the level of service is top notch and the food amazing

PolandThe only downside is the relatively high price, but the quality of service makes up for it.
In the end, we were switched to a different ship by the same carrier. Nevertheless, the captain's cabin is true luxury. A large and comfortable bed, a bathtub by the window overlooking the bay, and a spacious terrace – everything in this room was top-notch. Additionally, there was a pool with a jacuzzi on the upper deck of the ship – truly stunning!

AustraliaThe excursions were so good, and a lot of variety. It was just a little rushed as they had to try to fit everything in for us, so not a lot of time at each place, or to just relax and enjoy the amazing facilities on the boat.
This boat is absolutely amazing. We were upgraded to a suite and it was stunning! The staff were so attentive and would come around to talk to guests at our tables. Would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone. A great way to see Ha Long Bay.
