Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe city is very very loud, the noise from the hotel room is noticeable until late at night. The breakfast was okay, the accommodation was something special but not outstanding
Great nature, I have never seen anything like this before.

SingaporeNothing much, but if you have difficulty walking or climbing hills for whatever reason, do note that the hotel is situated at the top of a hill near the city center, and the walk up via the road can be a little steep (and when it rains, maybe even slippery)! So just be aware of that :)
Service was amazing and so quick to help! We arrived early in the morning after our sleeper train and were floored to be offered complimentary breakfast to start the day. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was conveniently located very close to Sapa Town center. We were even given packed sandwiches and water for the trip back to Hanoi on our last day - such great hospitality, we will be back!

AustraliaStaff were fantastic, incredibly helpful and generous (from getting a taxi organised - cheaper than grab, packing dinner for us, sharing their jackfruit and arranging our laundry - same day return. Room (2br) was beautiful with great outlook, comfortable beds, nice bathroom. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and recommend to others.

SingaporeI have to go up and down the stairs for filling up the kettle with water.
Wood structure, country living feeling. They upgraded me to a 2 storey cabin, with the living room on the ground floor and bedroom upstairs. I arrived at 12+ midnight and reception was there to check me in. The breakfast is good.

United KingdomI probably should have researched the location better as it’s near the centre so I found it quite loud but it’s perfect to get everywhere quickly. To be fair I think the whole area would be the same unless you went to cat cat village but then it’s a taxi ride away. My room was also above the restaurant so I got woken up.
Property was clean and the beds were comfy! Big rooms, good breakfast and the staff were really friendly. Really good location to get everywhere easily.

SingaporeUnfortunately, there was a leak as the it raining the days we were staying there but it was small. So, we just put the towel underneath it. The location was good but it was an uphill walk.
The stay felt very homey and comfortable. It was really cold as well so we did not turn on the airconditioner. The staff there were very nice and helpful.

United StatesThe hotel is in a great location just above the main square. Many restaurants and shops are just a few minutes walk away. We had the 2 bedroom appartment and it was spacious and had a balcony with a really nice view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They organized a guided rice field tour for us and provided laundry services.

PhilippinesThe staff are very friendly and helpful. They even gave us free breakfast when we arrived early from our trip from Hanoi Airport. The place is clean, comfortable and beautiful. It is located just walking distance to the Sapa center, Sapa Lake, Sapa Station and Stone Church. Near but far enough too to have some peace and quiet.

New ZealandMy friend and I had a beautiful time at Sapa Pine Hill Eco Lodge. On arrival we received a free upgrade, and they even extended our stay in the same room at a reasonable rate, which was very generous. The staff were always friendly and responsive, and made us feel very looked after. Our room was very clean, spacious and had stunning views. Breakfast was also fantastic. This place was great value for money and I would highly recommend. : )

United KingdomA side note: one particularly windy evening, tree branches brushed intensely against the roof, which kept my husband awake (Room 606). It was the only downside of our stay—but understandable given the hotel’s beautiful treetop setting.
We absolutely loved our stay—imagine Swiss Alps vibes, but in the heart of Sapa, Vietnam. Nestled in the trees with serene, sweeping views, the location was ideal: close enough to wander into town for an evening stroll, yet far enough to enjoy complete peace and quiet. Staying in what felt like a treetop house was magical. Our bungalow was incredibly spacious, with a cozy relaxation area downstairs and a large bedroom, bathroom, and balcony upstairs. The view from the bathroom alone was worth the trip—absolutely breathtaking. Breakfast was light but just right, with a delicious morning omelette that hit the spot. The view from the restaurant made waking early worth while!! And surprisingly, the in-room 3-in-1 coffee sachets were so tasty we asked for extra! It was a truly memorable stay in a unique and tranquil setting.

Their staff were amazing! They were prompt at replying our queries and surprised a birthday cake for our friend with a party hat. We really appreciated the effort and service. It made our trip in Sapa a memorable one! The room we booked were also clean and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was also good with an adequate spread of food and I love the pumpkin soup a lot!

United StatesNothing!
This was the cutest stay right in Sapa. We got upgraded for free to a little villa which was very quaint. There were some bugs here and there, but the property is built into the side of a hill, so to be expected. The free breakfast was excellent, staff were friendly, views incredible. Super short walk to all the main parts of town. No complaints!

AustraliaThere was not any information in the room about the hotel facilities or surrounding areas of interest. This would have been really helpful especially with language limitations.
Beautiful hotel, comfortable bed and spacious room. Breakfast was included and it was amazing. Hotel staff were fantastic and could not have been more helpful. They even packed snacks for us on our overnight bus trip … so nice!!
