Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We only had one night at COME HOME and would have like a longer stay!!!!
We had an amazing stay at "Come Home in Oudtshoorn Self-Catering Units." Our host, Lutgart, was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The unit was spacious and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The king-size bed in the main room was a dream, and the two single beds in the sitting area were perfect for extra guests or children. The bathroom was clean and modern, with a great shower. The kitchen had all the essentials, including a 4-plate gas stove, microwave, oven, and tea and coffee facilities, making it easy to prepare meals. We also enjoyed the on-site amenities, especially the swimming pool, which was a refreshing treat after a day of exploring. The location of "Come Home" is ideal, situated in Oudtshoorn, known for its ostrich farms, art, mountain biking, and iconic attractions like the Cango Caves and the Swartberg Pass. We appreciated the WiFi and the availability of an airport shuttle service on request, which added to the convenience of our stay. We highly recommend "Come Home in Oudtshoorn" and will definitely book again on our next visit!

I was happy with everything. I would however recommend that she have the additional option of blankets instead of comforters in winter.
The place was clean and was as expected. The owner was very friendly and quick to respond to give us directions and was interested that we arrived safely. She stayed up to meet us on arrival. Tea, coffee, milk and cereals were provided in the unit.

If you want to run the aircon, there is an additional cost, but this is understandable given what we paid for the night, and how much the aircon must run during a hot summer day/night. Not really a negative, just something to keep in mind when booking.
This is a renovated flat on the hosts property which was clean, well equipped and cosy. The hosts were very friendly and communicative, and we had everything we needed for our night with them (self-catering). Bonus that there was an electric blanket on our bed. Bathroom and kitchen were both lovely and the beds were comfortable with plenty of blankets. Hot water bottles were also provided.

Loadshedding, sadly nothing the hosts can do to control the annoying stage 6 that plagued me during my stay, but having said that the property is well lit with solar lites and the rooms have back up lights that work even if there is load shedding.
Location was perfect for my travel requirements. Very quiet and safe area. The hosts Lutgard and Roeland went out of their way to make my stay comfortable making sure nothing was short or amiss. Definitely a 10 star rating !!!!!!

Our hosts, Roeland and Lutgart, were excellent. They were very friendly and made our stay extremely pleasant and comfortable. They were very helpful and provided us with a lot of information about the area and great places to visit, nice restaurants and beautiful scenic drives.

The most efficient & polite host that one can find anywhere! Comfortable bed & peaceful nights sleep, with sliding door onto a varanda & pool side. I didn't realise the water was gas heated so didn't run it fast enough at first.
The comfortable bed, reading lights and battery powered lights for load shedding. There was an adaptor to charge cell phones. A nice fridge with freezer. Our host was great, and helpful.
