We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

South AfricaOur shower didn't have hot water, it was just warm water in the morning , maybe they can improve that, but otherwise, nothing to complain about everything was perfect
Our room had a nice view of the lagoon and the garden , we had our mini kitchen, we had electric blanket, we didn't get cold, room was clean, we had a feast of a buffet breakfast n the hospitality from the staff was marvelous, ooh an our host MR Kruger, knows how to treat his guest so well we felt at home, we definitely bringing our family here very soon.

South AfricaThe bathroom door was a bit tricky to close - one of the magnets didn't seem to be working properly.
We stayed at Lagoon Lodge over the Knysna Marathon weekend (also the start of the Oyster festival) and had a lovely experience. The location is perfectly located - just far enough from the hustle and bustle of town to be peaceful and relaxing, but still close enough to easily get to the local restaurants etc. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with a beautiful view of the lagoon. The staff were warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Needless to say, we will be back!

South AfricaCan't say there was anything we did not like. Please provide tea - both Ceylon and Rooibos in the rooms. Also, maybe upgrade the quality of the coffee provided. Not a serious gripe. The room met expectations.
Useful to have a little hotplate in the room. Proximity to the restaurant Muse is a real plus. We were there for the Knysna marathon and being able to walk back from the finish was a real plus.

United KingdomThe chairs we had in our room were a bit wobbly...couldn't really sit on it. My son used it to work on his laptop but found it unsteady. We found a solution though....so no big deal. Just thought I'd mention it. Maybe you can have a look at it.
