    Bad Google directions from N1 leading us onto dirt roads which was an hour longer travel.

    the facilities need partly some renovation, the pool was not in use

    the location in the middle of the vineyards, the service was fantastic esprecially at the restaurant, the food was very delicious

    rooms not well maintained, the initial room balcony door did not close and insects were coming in, there were centipedes in my initial and subsequent room and a cockroach in my bed. the fire places did not work and the room was cold and felt dusty

    traditional Dutch style, the premium rooms were big with a lovely view

    Breakfast was very disappointing. food not hot enough. waffles made too early and cold. Not variety on the weekend days

    The admin staff had no idea what was going on with regards to bookings, payments or anything else asked. Our toilet was completely blocked and would not flush and as well as the shower (hot water being extremely temperamental). It was over priced but the room was clean and breakfast was great

    Hotel very impersonal. Staff difficult to get a coffee in the morning. Too big a hotel for staff. Family suite wrong layout. Door needed on twin room for baby room.

    Breakfast selection okay. Did accommodate for a spare hair dryer when asked.

    I booked for 2 nights, the booking was confirmed on booking.com but when i got there at night the booking was not on their system. they mentioned a double booking, but made a plan for that night. i however had to find an alternative for the 2nd night.

    The place feels safe.

    The rooms are poorly soundproofed and small. Although the hotel is not cheap, the restaurant (coziness, menu and service) we didn't like.

    The outdoor area offers a very nice view over the landscape and the wineyards. The breakfast was very good!

    Very poor customer service as the hotel is way understaffed !!!!! No one at the bar, have to constantly look for a waiter for help, had to wait 1.5 hours to check in after 14:00 Will not return ever.

    bad management as rooms were cancelled last minute at expected wedding party. Guests were not impressed as they had to move at the last minute. overbooked.

    The room - felt like we were stuck in a dark hole. I also did leave my trousers there and when I enquired they found nothing. Had only spent 1 night there thank goodness. Receptionist on check in was rude

    The management of the hotel decided to cancel a number of rooms from our party for overbooking and then proceeded to blame bookings.com for the mix up. We all had to scramble and double up on rooms so as to accommodate our friends and colleagues that had been inconvenienced and basically told that they were as fault. Bookings that they had been made and paid for months in advance were cancelled and refunded 4 days before the day with not so much as a call. When trying to sort it out - calls and emails were completely ignored and guest travelling for the wedding didn’t know if they had Accomodation at all. The hotel arranged for some of the guests they had inconvenienced to stay in a self catering accommodation which had no generators - making it tricky for them to be part of the festivities- with no sensitivity to the feelings of the guests and the consequences of their actions. when questioning this and trying to assist - I can honestly say that I have never been spoken to as rudely as by the owner of this hotel - and this because I was trying to help a colleague. It was a disgrace and at no time did they accept responsibility for the inconvenience- or apologise. We had to sleep 3 in a room in order to give a room to a couple who were inconvenienced- and then got charged for the extra bed! over and above this there was no fridge in the rooms and only 2 working plugs. On the one evening they couldn’t provide dinner as they had a private function. It is super clear that they do not value their guests at all.

    We booked to stay at Devon Valley for a family wedding early in the year. The location was beautiful and we were looking forward to the weekend

    The bathrooms are not cleaned daily, bed sheets are not changed daily, the phone in the room did not work and there were bugs in the room. The carpet in room 21 smells very bad, that needs to be taken care off urgently. The toilet brush holder is filthy (Health concern) The above just does not make sense considering the amount I paid.

    I liked the views of the place while having breakfast and I also enjoyed the breakfast

    after a cancelled booking, a bed was supposed to be arranged for my daughter in one of our rooms. this was never done and she slept on the couch. management refused to refund the R1500. appalling.

    the only positive thing about this property is the staff - the poor receptionist who had to try and help overbookings and unhappy guests. no support from management.

    complete lack of trying to help rectify the situation. manager’s son only concerned about loss of profit.

    a disaster from the time we arrived. one of our rooms was cancelled (the hotel blamed booking.com and booking.com blamed the hotel).

    Welcoming was very poor,handed us the key and that was that,no info regarding the hotel facilities or even where the room was allocated!

    Breakfast was terrible,only 2 fruits to choose from,hot food been standing for a long time(buffet style). No service at all. Poor overall.

    We were humiliated by the owner who didn't seem to apologies,claiming we don't belong on the property and called security to eskort us out.Not know we booked and paid for accommodation that was very expensive.I assumed it must have been the colour of our skin,very disappointed regarding the treatment we received.The food pathetic paid R1709 for 4ppl most horrible food I ate and secondly the water was limited. MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER AND NEVER TO BE REPEATED AGAIN
