Great location on the cliffs near Funchal, overlooking the city on the ocean. Calm place to stay. The architecture of the hotel territory is done very wisely, you always can have a place to be by yourself on nature with the fabulous views. Superb breakfast and on-site restaurants. The room is bright, has spacious balcony, equipped with new furniture and thoughtful touches. The most comfy bed and pillows in my wide travel experience!! Staff was extremely hospitable. They consult me about our travel plans on Madeira and even manage to find me a jacket for the gala dinner. Top level hospitality!

From the moment of arrival till the moment of departure, we felt the great loveliness of this hotel. Its staff is very friendly and attentive, speaks English well or very well, and some of them show a great sense of humour. The breakfast is overwhelming in choice and is smoothly organised. We had dinner once in the restaurant called Tipografica: excellent cooking and an extensive wine list. The rooftop pool and bar, as wel as the impressive view on Funchal, are a big plus. The room (junior suite) is large, comfortable, perfectly clean. And above all, the hotel is an attractive building, in the middle of Funchal, though in a quiet street without dozens of tourists. We hope to be back here again in near future!

Spacious rooms with high ceilings, comfortable beds, terrace with city view, main bedroom view to the park, fully equipped kitchen. All spotlessly clean. Welcome package with two bottles of vine. The location in the very center of the old town. Two blocks away from a big shopping mall with a supermarket.

- Very helpful hosts, who oriented me to the city and its bus system, arranged a taxi at a short notice and even gave me a lift to the aerobus shuttle stop. Thank you Joel and Bruno! - Location a short bus ride away from Funchal city centre (buses #4, 8 and 45 stop nearby). Praia Formosa and Madeira Shopping Forum are within 30 min walk (involves some uphill walk on the way back) - Gorgeous sea view from the room and the terrace (the upside of being on a hill!) - Twin Room as shown on picture, has a kitchentte with stovetop and cooking utensils

Exquisite botanical garden hotel with superb service and tranquility. The garden is beautiful with many exotic plants we have never seen before...not even in tropical jungles. The pool area and sun beds are very luxurious and everything is maintained to the highest possible degree. Breakfast service is a chapter of its own. Sitting in the garden you are served a delicious breakfast with a huge selection of eggs, pastries, sandwiches, yogurt and fruit. We highly recommend this hotel and will surely visit again on our next trip to Madeira.
