Itsukushimahigashimonzen Kikugawa, a property with a shared lounge, is located in Miyajima, 2.3 km from Tsutsumigaura Beach, 500 metres from Five Storey Pagoda, as well as 700 metres from Itsukushima Shrine. With a garden, the 2-star ryokan has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The accommodation provides luggage storage space and a housekeeping service for guests.

At the ryokan, every unit has a tatami. A fridge and kettle are also provided. The units in the ryokan are equipped with a flat-screen TV and a hair dryer. This place was a perfect and an authentic stay in a ryokan. The hotel seemed to be freshly renovated. The appliances were of the highest quality and every detail was very well thought through. The interior of the room and the hotel dinning room with the little garden was exquisite. Although quite expensive at the time of booking it was well worth it. The location was also great, 4 minites away from the fast ferry stop (Hiroshima war memorial- Miyajima).

The spacious ryokan is equipped with 1 bedroom, a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave and a toaster, and 1 bathroom with a bidet, slippers and a washing machine. The ryokan offers bed linen, towels and laundry service. I highly recommend this accommodation. It's absolutely stunning, our only regret was not staying longer than a night, you really want a minimum of 2 to make the most of it. We will definitely be coming back one day 😊

Traditional multi-course meals are served for dinner and a Japanese set menu for breakfast. Japanese-style hotel Mizuhasou specialises in fresh seafood and exquisitely prepared local seasonal dishes. Meals are served at the dining room. All the staff is very friendly. Breakfast was very tasty . I recommend it all.

Rooms in the Annex include a private bathroom with a bath and toilet, while rooms in the historical Main Building and Cottage Annex have shared bathrooms and toilets. We stayed in the older part of the ryokan and it was spectacular. The rooms have beautiful views and the onsen is heavenly. Staff were friendly and helpful, and our meals were delicious and perfectly presented. We had a very romantic stay and enjoyed being on the island at night. Do yourself a favour and wear the yukata - it's the most comfortable clothing I've ever worn. We would love to come back!

There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The ryokan features family rooms. Perfect location, staff amazingly nice and pleasant. The food was also delicious.
