We loved the little touches that were on a par with some of the best hotels we've stayed in, and the lady who runs the place was very helpful when she needed to be but left us alone when she didn't, which was great. We liked the open breakfast idea, too. The bathroom was large and everything was immaculate. The bed was comfy and there was a decent sized TV in our room. The coffee and tea making selection was top notch.

Filey is a little treasure.
Filey is a little treasure. It's not as well known as Scarborough or Bridlington and that's a good thing! The beach is immaculate and has plenty of room to stretch out on. The town centre is a little tiny and, to be honest, there's not a vast amount to do there other than eat, drink and use the beach although there are some good eateries and bars around. We found Benny's Bar and Grill this time and ate there both nights. Their steaks are fabulous! We also like the White Lodge Hotel for its garden bar, too. A rainy few days there, without a car, could be depressing, mind, I'd have thought, but welcome to the British summer! If you're looking for a few days in a peaceful, pretty little area on the east coast, and you're mobile, it's a lovely place.MickUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

Lovely resort. No funfair! Nice promenade along lovely beach, with pleasant gardens alongside. Two Country parks within walking distance so ideal for those with young children. Ideal spot for walkers as along a coastal path and within easy reach of Bempton Cliffs, Flamborough Head, Scarborough and Bridlington.

Filey is perfect for young families, or like us, a holiday with our grown up kids, a lovely old fashioned seaside town with plenty of pubs some with live music, and good places to eat easy to get to Brid or Scarborough on bus or train.

The beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we could have needed. The location was great and within walking distance to Filey shops and seafront and only a short drive to Scarborough. Although there is no off-street parking we never struggled to find parking spaces nearby for two cars. We will definitely return in warmer weather to make use of the lovely garden.LauraUnited Kingdom

There was a mix up with the room as I had booked for myself and 2 children in 1 room but they were only expecting 1 child. However the staff came and put a bed up and was soon sorted.
