Uniquely noisy, crazy, chaotic and dirty, but it is comfortable until people will not try to beg or rip you off constantly. Double-priced menus, bargaining and fewer rules may not be for some Europeans. The well-kept heritage buildings are great, the Atlas too, but keep it clean please to attract more tourists.

We came to Marrakech for a week, which gave us plenty of time to explore at a leisurely place. We got to explore the old and new town, the clubs, the souks, the Medina, the Agafay desert (which they call the fake desert, it's only 35mins drive from the Medina whereas the real desert is about 3hrs) where we rode camels and had a delicious authentic dinner with entertainment. I would say to prepare yourself for the main square, Jemaa El Fna; it's one of the busiest places ever been, very hectic, a wake up to all your senses. But once you get past the initial shock it's a safe place with lots going on. Be prepared for lots of motorcycles, even down the narrow streets of the souks. Donkeys and horses go down there too sometimes! The food wasn't as great as we expected, but there are lots of beautiful high end restaurants you can enjoy if you don't particularly enjoy the street food. Having said that, our best meal was a shawarma wrap from a tiny unassuming fast-food place! There is a great nightlife here (the bars and clubs don't seem to get busy until after midnight), and the souks are a much calmer and quieter place during the day, a perfect time to explore and shop. We would highly recommend staying in a Riad to get the proper authentic Moroccan experience; we stayed in Dar Najat and it was faultless! Also highly recommend going to Isis spa for a hammam, and Les Bains ce Kabira did a great hammer too!

The people were all friendly and helpful.
The people were all friendly and helpful. I did some pre-booked excursions that were outstanding. I spent 4 nights in Marrakech and walked around the city. I went up in an air balloon over the desert and went on a camel ride and a quad bike ride through the desert, followed by a fantastic show, all of which I was picked up for, near the Riad I stayed at. I ate at several very local very cheap cafes and food bars that were very good.
I would advise getting a good usable data plan for your mobile phone as this was the only thing I didn't do, and my visit would have been easier with it because it is easy to get lost in the medina. Google Maps worked well when I had free wifi in many of the places I visited.

Marrakech is a very lively, vibrant city.
Marrakech is a very lively, vibrant city. There’s a few things you need to be aware of, in that there are many modes of transport that use the pavements and pathways, so be aware, walk on the right hand side.
It’s a very, very safe city and women can walk around on their own, even at night.
There are numerous cats around.
You are expected to barter.
If possible get the services of a guide for a morning/afternoon, as they will give you a better understanding of the culture, people and city.

Marrakech, with its vibrant blend of history, culture, and...
Marrakech, with its vibrant blend of history, culture, and lively atmosphere, promises an unforgettable adventure for travelers. Immerse yourself in the bustling souks and winding alleys of the historic medina, where each turn reveals a new treasure waiting to be discovered. The sensory overload of sights, sounds, and smells at Jemaa el Fna square is an experience not to be missed, where street performers, storytellers, and aromatic food stalls create an enchanting atmosphere.
But Marrakech offers more than just ancient charm; it's a city buzzing with modern vitality. Explore trendy cafes, chic boutiques, and contemporary art galleries that offer a glimpse into the city's dynamic spirit. Take time to wander through lush gardens and tranquil palaces, providing a peaceful escape from the bustling streets.
At Cultural Morocco Tours, we highly recommend including Marrakech as a highlight of your journey through Morocco.

Marrakesh is incredible.
Marrakesh is incredible. We were expecting it to be wonderful and it was even better. The people we met along the way were very friendly and accommodating and we felt safe and secure wherever we wandered.
This property should be rated 4 star for its excellent staff, service and amenities. I LOVED everything about the property. The conscience when I was feeling lazy to walk down stairs and have a 5 star meal was awesome. I loved that it was centrally located to a shopping area, the overwhelming choice of places to eat that’s only a 5 min walk. The entire staff spoiled me my entire time. I extended my stay twice. I left and checked into another hotel for two days in another area of the city, but ended back at a Le Caspien.
Would 100% recommend. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast is tasty. Location is good and within walking distanvce of the medina. What makes this hotel exceptional is the staff! They were extremely welcoming and hospitable. To name but a few Mohammed, Manal and Said provided a 5 star service and we can't thank them enough for making our stay in Marakesh so comfortable. Beautiful city and beautiful people. Would not hesitate in booking again..
We were one of the first customers to enjoy Riad 48 and spa and what a delightful experience! It’s brand new, immaculately clean, stylish, quiet and welcoming.
The staff, breakfast and spa - 5 stars.
A little gem in the middle of the medina!
Special thanks to the manager François for going out of his way with whatever help we needed.
Would go back to Marrakesh just to stay there again :)
Excellent trip we booked two rooms for our family. Every thing was above expectation Reception staff specially Samir was well trained professional . We used most of the hotel facilities including pool, breakfast , restaurant, room service, shuttle service, they were all up to professional standard. Our experience staying in this hotel was 5 stars specially my children like it very much
This hotel has made our Morocco trip unforgettable. It was an unique experience, just like visiting long time friends who live in a beautiful home in Marrakech. We had the best suggestions from the hotel owners, our dinner reservations were made by them and a wonderful breakfast was waiting for us each morning so all we had to do was to enjoy our vacation. We will certainly be back.
Hospitable staff who will take care of your every need. Ask Mustafa the host what you need, and he will arrange them for you. Clean rooms, good breakfast. Don't expect a 5 star hotel because it is not. But if you're looking for good value in a quiet neighbourhood and you don't mind walking to Jemal el Fna, this is a good choice.
Beautiful hotel. Staff were amazing and very helpful. Large, very comfortable rooms. Lovely big pool, lots of sunbeds with pool towels provided. Option to go all inclusive if you wanted, however could also not go all inclusive. Lovely breakfast. Short taxi ride to centre of medina. Easy to go into the centre for dinner.
The staff is excellent. Very friendly and want to help you. They will set up day trips and transportation. Rooftop over looks the Medina. Location is excellent.
Breakfast is very good. Had a wonderful 8 night stay.
Plan to come back to Marrakesh and would stay at the Art & Emotion Hotel again.
Value for money, the food was good and choices were wide, several restaurants on premises, the aqua park was the reason for our stay. The room was recently remade and looked nice. The overall price to value was excellent, considering our stay was for the park with all inclusive hotel.
The property is really nice, way better than a normal hotel. From the moment you step inside, it makes you feel like you’re in Morocco. The staff is really helpful, they made my stay amazing. They are quick to reply, flexible and always happy to help.
best hotel in marrakech. very friendly staff and do everything to see you happy in the hotel. spacious rooms, several swimming pools. all inclusive possible and recommended. shuttle service to center. really an oasis of calm in the hotel.
This is a complete gem. International 5 star hotels could learn a thing or two from this place. Wonderful service delivered by Abdullah. Delightful room, in equally delightful setting. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. The meals were great and the facilities too! Nothing was too much for the staff. I have lodged in 5 star hotels in the past. This hotel was at par with the other hotels.
The host kindly allowed me to store my bag behind the reception desk whilst I roamed around Marrakesh on departure day. The hotel is within the Marrakesh Medina so close to the famous market.
Excellent property great staff, beautiful hotel and 5 star hospitality and service. Top hotel and upgraded room with a suite. Thank you for great stay and service.
