It was a clean quiet comfortable large bedroom in an older style hotel which has been looked after nicely. Yes it is dated decor but who cares, a blast from the past. It even has the old style telephone booth in the lobby area. Sooo cool brings back memories. Very pleased we stayed there and good value.
Staff nice breakfast was typical and ok. Car parking no problem.
If you are in the area this is the place to stay value wise.

One of the warmest hospitalities we have ever received. Gloria cares deeply about this place, from the history of the house, her care of the animals and plants, knowledge of local culture and biodiversity, to baking the most delicious cake we've had! It is a quiet place to relax, listen to a variety of bird songs you don't hear elsewhere, enjoy a morning swim in the pool and a delicious breakfast with fresh fruits and eggs from the house. The interior of the house is cool and fragrant and there is a kitchen if you want to bring your own meal. The garden has a variety of plants and there are some very cute donkeys. The parking also has a socket for electric cars which was very convenient for our trip. Would love to come back to explore more.
Offering free WiFi and a seasonal outdoor pool, Casa de l Cura is set in Genízio. There is a games room on site and guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Bragança is 43 km away.

Lovely walled town perched on top of a hillside with a commanding view of the Douro river. Excellent place to book a boat trip, which was amazing. The scientists on board are very helpful and informative , although the commentary is only in Portuguese and Spanish. This did not affect our experience. Although in Portugal Miranda do Douro has it's own local language. Do not expect English to be understood.

The city is such a small and cute one. Walk around the walled city and make sure you visit the concathedral and see the Jesus of the Little Hat. Then make sure you take time to visit the surrounding villages and all the prairies.

This is a family run hotel which has many features (spa, pool etc) which are not usually found at these prices, plus the place is modern and spotless.
The hosts were exceptionally helpful and we got tips for places to visit to further enhance our stay in the area.
The hotel is around 10-15 minutes outside Miranda by car and is situated in a quiet and pleasant village. We were guided to a restaurant in Miranda itself (The Restaurante Mirodouro) by the owner who called ahead and booked for us. If you go there, order one main between two people, the portions are too much for one person. You will be staggered how little your meal will cost.
Breakfast was excellent quality and plentiful. I would highly recommend this hotel to any one staying in the area.

Nice little old town with the new parts outside, unfortunately the museum was in work so closed and the cathedral seems to be closed most of the time, but there are two real nice little churches and the stroll as such makes it worth visiting

It’s a gemstone in the middle of nowhere.
It’s a gemstone in the middle of nowhere. The Douro National Park is worth a visit for nature lovers. We wish to have spent more time there! The lookouts nearby are amazing and don’t miss Picote, a typical Portuguese village. Miranda itself is very beautiful, too. You can climb the old city wall which offers you spectacular views, especial at sunset.

A beautiful family run hotel. Secure parking for our 8 motorbikes, could easily have accepted double that! The standard of room and amenities was fantastic, spotlessly clean, set in lovely grounds and everything on site you could want. We had a fabulous set meal and local wine in the onsire bar and restaurant. We played music and enjoyed ourselves through the evening. Rita the host was very professional. Would highly recommend.
Extremely good location for visiting Miranda do Douro and the river. Modern well furnished clean apartment in a quiet location close to the centre, with a beautiful view of the valley and town. Lovely areas to sit outside. The two apartments are in one long building. The two bed apartment has the best view, the one bed overlooks the town, countryside and the car park area
We loved the town of Miranda do Douro, the remoteness of it, the scenery and the culture. We happened to be there over the weekend, when there was a cultural performance that was very lively and fun. The property was comfortable, quiet when the windows were closed, very clean. The hosts were very warm and responded quickly to all of our communications.
Very nice hotel. Really clean and big room. Lovely ambience. Breakfast exceptional , wide variety of local products. Not a sweet person, but I have to try local pastries. Really tasty . The owner elderly lady was so cute. Outdoor swimming pool, unfortunately I haven't got time to try..
It is located in a very quiet little township in the country. Very gracious host. Breakfast goods are farm fresh. The nearby town of Miranda do Douro has some great sites and restaurants. If you're looking for a quiet place to stay in the country, look no further.
The hotel was easy to find and had easy parking. There are great views from the bedrooms and the large, panoramic breakfast room. Staff were friendly. Our room - or rather suite - was very light and spacious. Ratio price / quality excellent.
The hotel was easy to find and had on street parking outside. It was clean and the bed was comfy. Great views over the river but less appealing on the other side of the building.
The hotel is just inside town if you arriving from Spain. The room appeared to have been recently redecorated; the bathroom was particularly nice. Breakfast was very good.
Great room with good facilities and a great location. Managed to have the motorcycles parked in the underhotel garage.
Finished the stay with a really good breakfast.
