Everything was pure luxury. The amount of food and drink in your room (replenished daily) is not something I've experienced before. The hot tub is awesome and the room is huge. The host also went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day went as planned and comped us a nice bottle of prosecco as a gift! Thanks again, we will be back.
P.s. I have over 50 reviews on booking.com and this is the first time I've given a 10!

This is a beautiful location on the Isle of Skye. The rooms are very quaint and cosy and the house is beautiful. The dinner was also excellent. The sunsets looking out of the hotel windows were stunning.

Long late drive from Glasgow and when I arrived at 9.30 the kitchen was closed. The manager went out his way and got the chef to make me some food.
Was very much appreciated after a long day.

Friendly welcome by the owners, astonishing view from the chalets! Everything was taken care of by the owners: clean chalet, some ‘homemade groceries’ like eggs, milk, scones and muffins. Well equipped (little) kitchen to cook simple meals. Barbecue (if you have better weather then we had 😃). Actually everything was ok!
Located in Flodigarry in the Isle of Skye region, Sonas, Dunans has a garden. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking.
A close drive to Quiraing and The Storr. We hiked both on the same day as well as touring the Skye Museum of island life. There is not much to the town, but we had great meals at the Ferry Inn and Uig Hotel. The views are lovely.

I love Uig.
I love Uig. The locals were all so friendly and a wealth of information. It was easy to get around the island by car from Uig, and convienently close to the ferry (we caught it from Uig to Isle of Lewis).

We spent time in Uig because we were taking the ferry to North Uist and then again when we returned from Harris.
There are a couple of options for food- The Ferry Inn and Uig Hotel, but they need to be booked in advance, then a cafe and a bar which does takeout food at the harbour.
The brewery has a shop there, there’s a pottery and a petrol station and a small shop for food.
One interesting place we found nearby was the Museum of Island Life at Kilmuir and the cemetery next door which had a monument to Flora Macdonald and is the burial place of fashion designer Alexander McQueen!

Rather small village with only a few restaurants and you need to make reservations if you want to have dinner. If not, you can drive to Portree, which is a 20 minute drive.
Uig is nicely situated for visiting the northern part of the island of Skye.

Uig is a charming village.
Uig is a charming village. If we had more time this would have been a great base to explore the Outer Hebrides Islands (the ferries departed out of Uig) and it was really easy to get to Portree on the main road. I also discovered the Isle of Skye Brewery is located in Uig, but didn't get a chance to visit.

Uig is a quiet place, perfect as a starting point for a trip around the Isle of Sky. We had a rental car, I'm guessing getting around by bus might be a bit difficult. By car we took a tour around the island, got off where we wanted (Quiraing, The Storr, Portree, Staffin Dinosaur Beach, Fairy Glenn, view points, cafés, museums, craft shops etc.)
Next time I get there I'll also plan ahead a trip to the Outer Hebrides. Getting - or even staying - there requires a bit of planning as accomodation and ferries are heavily booked, but I'm sure it's worthwhile.
Stunning view, fit & finish of the place was exceptional, the fireplace was an accessory I didn't know I needed in my life. A masterpiece of contemporary design that acknowledges its beautiful locale.Possibly the best Airbnb I stayed in. Staff was very friendly and responsive. The attention to detail is particularly noteworthy.
Loved it. Would recommend 10/10 and made Isle of Skye a highlight in our Scotland roadtrip. I go as far as to say this remarkable property itself is worth a trip.
The house was dog friendly, with very little to tempt our young puppy to misbehave. The location was convenient for exploring most of Skye. We particularly liked the Faerie Glen and the beach near Staffin. The kitchen is good. We had no trouble self catering for our family of four plus two dogs. The larger CoOp on the edge of Portree had most things we wanted and the local grocery store in Uig had a decent range too. The beds were comfortable. All in all, a fine base for a week outdoors.
Great location for exploring Isle of Skye (very close to Fairy Glen; convenient to Quairang and Old Man of Storr trailheads). Very spacious home-- 3 large bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, dining room, living rooms, well equipped kitchen, access to laundry (washer and drier); comfortable beds. Quiet. Nice market and cute pub very close by. Good view of the bay, and ferry coming and going. Beautiful rhododendron in front garden.
absolutely everything. the care and attention that went into everything was amazing. fresh juices, cakes, amazing breakfast, wee fridge for drinks, decor, just everything was perfect. Vicki was a warm and attentive host who couldn’t do enough. Felt more like a 5 star hotel experience than a b&b.
Adele and her family have created a warm, welcoming, and comfortable sanctuary for travelers. Uig is a sweet little town with lovely shops, places to eat, the loveliest places to walk/hike, as well as kind and friendly people everywhere! We would return tomorrow if it were possible!
The location is amazing, overlooking the Uig harbor. Perfect for hiking the northern part of Skye. The little place was tight, but cozy for a family of four. George was very accommodating for our late check in and he left us bread, milk, eggs, jam and some candies in the cupboard.
Skye Holiday Chalets is in a great location if you need to take the ferry out of Uig. It also backs up to a pretty view of a field - the first night of our stay, someone (or a recording) was playing bagpipes across the fields and it was a fun touch of Scotland.
Great to have private space after multiple hotels & hostels, parking next to the door so lugging luggage,
A living space, comfortable bed and everything you’d need,
Easy check in & out,
Handy location for exploring the north of Skye or getting the ferry
Excellent accommodation for the four of us. It was very clean and way better than staying in a hotel. George was a nice fella/host and very welcoming. The best thing we like is their home made marmalade😄. You'll find it when you stay on his property.
The food was what is advertised, a continental breakfast and replenished daily. The room was clean and I there were no interruptions during my stay.
It is quiet there, and for me alone, was a little more quiet than I anticipated, but it is all good.
Exceeded expectations! The perfect location to visit the Isle of Skye and all the great outdoor spaces. Vicki was a great host and made exceptional breakfast. The room was very comfortable and the shower was hot!
Great location near to where other family were staying in Uig. Located closely to the Rha waterfall which is beautiful. Great views from the property. Uig Hotel is great place to eat at and just down the road.
Great location, superb sunset views, the house was well equipped and impeccably clean. Information available on the things to do around Uig. Best place we had during our vacation. We'll be back
Location is wonderful with views of Uig Harbour. House is comfy and well resourced. Only negative was one bathroom with electric shower which never throws out much water. Great holiday though.
Property clean, comfortable and in excellent condition. Good location for exploring Mike our host very knowledgeable about the island and helpful. Very nice continental breakfast
Beautiful home in an idyllic landscape. Lots of nice touches, wonderful food and other accommodations. Viv and Steve are absolutely charming and generous hosts.
