Cute house, big enough for 5. Friendly owner and staff. Lovely garden + butterflies. No problem to stay there without your own transport. Great restaurant for lunch around the corner and staff can bring you to restaurants at night (and restaurant can bring you back. Beach is super pretty, clean and deserted!

If you love beaches, and want to see how Samui was 50 years ago, as far as beaches go, that's the place. No construction (yet), very spaced, green mountains all around (with no houses on them), etc. and very close to Samui and Phangan (30 minutes drive from Donsak Pier)

BTW - I saw a pink dolphin near Donesk Pier so keep your eyes peeled if you are taking the ferry.

this is a wonderful town, very peaceful and quiet. we blew our front tire on our scooter on one of our adventures, and about 5 different people stopped to help. thats just one example, truly a place of genuine loving kindness and untampered by negative aspects of tourism.

After driving all over Malaysia for a month, we just planned two relaxing days near a beach on the way back to Lopburi. We didn’t expect so many lovely beaches with deep blue water, white sand and green coconut palms to be lined up in Khanom! Additionally, there are caves, a grand canyon, fish spas and boat trips. After an eventful sightseeing day, as a highlight try to visit the Noen Thewada Viewpoint (also called Khanom Viewpoint) around 5pm for exceptional pictures. After two days in Khanom, my Thai wife told me: “If we ever get rich, let’s buy land and build a small house near the beach in Khanom!” I guess this says it all...
First of all the staff! Silvan and his wife Eye are exceptional hosts. Very friendly, helpful & professional.. Top notch Hotelliers! The location is an absolute dream. Located slightly in the woods and yet 10 minutes by foot to the beach. The resort is well maintained, well decorated and an oasis of peace & Tranquillity. The totaly cute little huts are very comfortable and equipped with all necessary accessories. My stay here was one of the most relaxing in Thailand yet.
The breakfast was amazing. The lady boss served us drip coffee with toast/ eggs and homemade jam. We could even taste the real fruits in the jam. Having breakfast in the outdoor setting was amazing and we really feel connected with nature.
The pool was clean and definitely a lifesaver in the crazy Thailand heat.
Fresh water and coffee were readily available 24/7 within the resort.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Hallo Villa.
Perfect location at the beach with not many big hotels around. This hotel is also not big, so there are not too many people around. The restaurant is priced maybe 50% above average, but the food is also good.
Breakfast was extremely bad for a 5star hotel, they changed from buffet to a la carte …
You can imagine what that means!!! The time of that hotel is long over !!!
